The Wisconsin Woodchucks are finally in the win column in 2020 after they walked-off the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters at Athletic Park. They weren’t the only ones to win via walk-off, as the Bismarck Larks picked up their first walk-off of the season in 10 innings.

Bismarck Larks 3 Mandan Flickertails 2 (10 innings)
It took some time, but the Larks picked up the win on Tuesday thanks to a walk-off error off the bat of Noah Fisher (Northern Kentucky) that allowed Wyatt Urlich (University of Richmond) to score the winning run. Pitching was the story of this one, as Joe Todd (Stephen F. Austin) got the start for the Larks and threw four innings, allowing one unearned run and two hits while recording six strikeouts. The Larks would record 14 strikeouts on the night, including five from Wes Harper (Boise State), who threw three and one-third of an inning with five strikeouts to pick up the win. The Flickertails had solid pitching as well, as Tyler Strechay (West Virginia) got the start and lasted six strong innings, allowing two runs on five hits with five strikeouts of his own, though he would end up taking a no decision.

Battle Creek Bombers 6 Kalamazoo Mac Daddies 3
The Bombers took advantage of a five-run fourth inning to pick up the win on Tuesday night in Kalamazoo. Justin VanDeBrake (Washington State) led the Bombers offense, going 3-4 with a double, a run scored and one RBI. John Malcom (University of Tampa) contributed three RBI, all of which came on a bases-clearing double in the fourth. Anthony Calarco (Northwestern University) was 2-3 for the Mac Daddies, with two RBI and a solo home run in the third inning.

Green Bay Booyah 10 La Crosse Loggers 7
The Booyah scored four runs in the top of the eighth to rally and take the lead, though the Loggers had a rally going in the ninth, as they had the tying run at the plate in the bottom of the inning, but Green Bay was able to escape with the win. There was no shortage of offensive prowess on display for the Booyah, as Brady West (North Greenville University) was 2-4 with two doubles and two runs scored, while Nadir Lewis (Princeton) was 3-5 with two RBI. Andy Blake (Columbia) got in on the party, going 2-5 with a home run and two RBI for Green Bay.

The game never got started, as it was postponed due to inclement weather. It will be played as part of a doubleheader on Wednesday starting at 4:05 p.m. Both games will be seven innings.

The Woodchucks entered the bottom of the ninth trailing by one, but thanks to some timely hits, they were able to pick up their first win of the season on a walk-off single off the bat of Pablo Ruiz (Central Florida), who would finish the game 2-5 with one RBI. Sayer Diederich (Nebraska) was 1-3, with a double and a run scored for the Woodchucks. Bobby Vath (New York Institute of Technology) got the start on the mound and threw four innings, allowing two runs on five hits while recording five strikeouts. Nate Madej (South Alabama) picked up his first win of the season, throwing one scoreless relief inning, allowing a hit and recording a strikeout.

Minnesota-Iowa Pod
Waterloo Bucks 15 St. Cloud Rox 1
The Bucks never had any doubts on Tuesday, as they jumped all over the Rox pitching staff, scoring in every inning, including a four-run sixth. Every Waterloo starter had a hit, and all reached base multiple times. Jalen Smith (California-Davis) was one of the offensive leaders for the Bucks, going 2-3 with two RBI and three runs scored. Cameron Thompson (Kansas State), Oraj Anu (Kentucky) and Xane Washington (Nicholls State) all had three hits, while Dalton Shuffield (Texas State) had three RBI for the Bucks. They were just as dominant on the mound, as Dusty Schramm (Utah) got the start and threw three hitless innings before giving way to Beau Baldo (Nicholls State), who would throw one and two-third innings, with two hits, one of which was a solo home run, and two strikeouts. Despite giving up the run, he still got the win to move to 2-0 on the season.
