The most popular jersey in town.
This is the jersey everyone has been waiting for…
The Bismarck Larks and Farmers Union Insurance have teamed up to offer YOU an EXCLUSIVE, limited-edition Larks jersey.
It was only available on Wednesday, June 24th at 7:00 AM at our Donation Drive-Thru.
Together with our friends at Farmers Union Insurance, we wanted to help keep our fans safe and so we offered them the chance to donate food and get their jersey at our “Donation Drive-Thru.”
The response was a HOME RUN! The event started at 7:00 AM and we had a PACKED parking lot by 7:45. Cars were lined up all along the ballpark parking lot and almost out onto the street. All 1,000 jerseys were gone by 10 AM. We knocked last year’s record out of the park!
Thanks to the generosity of our fans, over 2,390 pounds of food and $276 were donated. That means 2,761 meals were provided through this single event!
This amount of meals is an awesome impact for the 1 in 8 North Dakotans who go hungry, or in the case of children, it’s 1 in 5. This leaves nothing said about the huge need out there due to COVID-19, which has driven up demand 40-70 percent, depending on where you live in our great state. All of the food collected at the Jersey give-away will stay in the Bismarck-Mandan area.
What if I am a 7-Pack Holder?
This jersey was NOT included in your 7-Pack. You will receive your 7-pack jersey during the season!
Last year, 1,000 jerseys were gone in 3.5 hours!
If you donated two food items to the Great Plains Food Bank, you were given an exclusive jersey only available at Bismarck/Mandan Farmers Union Insurance Agency locations beginning June 26th, 2019.
The response was EPIC! All 1,000 jerseys were gone in 3 ½ hours. A monumental 3,574.2 lbs. of food and $479.00 were donated for a total 5,725 meals. Compare that to 2018’s 2,006 lbs. of food and $268.00 for a total 2,476 meals. Oh yeah, fun does make a difference!!
Dave Murphy, Farmers Union Insurance District 4 Manager, was astonished. “To say the jersey food drive was a success is an understatement. We ended up having another manager and a couple of agents deliver the food to one of the food pantries because the barrels were overflowing. Quite honestly, words cannot describe how appreciative they were. They were running out of food and didn’t know what they were going to do until the next food truck arrived in a couple weeks.”
He added, “Thank you to everyone for making this promotion a great success and making a difference.”
