(Waterloo, IA) The Waterloo Bucks have announced that outfielder Landon Anderson will be joining the team for the 2010 season. Currently, Anderson is a sophomore at Dallas Baptist University and is the 16th player to sign with the Bucks for the summer. He joins Patriot teammate Tyler Robbins on the Waterloo roster.

Last season for the Patriots, Anderson played in 27 games, hitting .339 with 12 RBI and five stolen bases.  The 5’10”, 167-pounder started 17 games, finishing the season with five doubles and one triple.

Landon AndersonThis season for the Dallas Baptist Patriots, Anderson has played in three games, hitting an RBI single in his only at bat.  In limited action, the Bedford, Texas native has walked once and scored two runs.

A graduate of Grapevine Faith High School in Grapevine, Texas, Anderson was named to the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools All-State Team each year of his high school career. During his senior year, Anderson was named his team’s Defensive MVP.

The Bucks will open the 2010 season at home on Wednesday, June 2 at 6:35 pm versus Wisconsin Rapids.  Season tickets and single-game tickets are currently on sale.  Fans are encouraged to stay in touch with the Bucks in the off-season by utilizing their website at www.waterloobucks.com.
