The Madison Mallards, in their 10th season in Madison, are giving their fans an opportunity to vote for the Mallards All-Decade Team. Fans can vote for former Madison players via online voting from a list of pre-determined Mallards. The first All-Decade Team winner was Matt Pagnozzi at the catcher position.

Pagnozzi (2002) was voted the winner over Javier Sanchez (2003), John Martin (2004-05) and John Hicks (2009). The catcher is currently playing for the Memphis Redbirds, a Triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinal, and received 38.6 percent of the votes.

While in Madison, Pagnozzi was known for his defense and ability to run a pitching staff. In 40 games, Pagnozzi had six doubles to go with six RBI for the Mallards. He currently has 20 hits in 29 games played for the Memphis Redbirds in the Pacific Coast League. Pagnozzi made his MLB debut with the Cardinals in September of 2009.
