The Green Bay Bullfrogs are excited to announce the signings of Erich Weiss and Corey Knebel both from the University of Texas for their upcoming 5th anniversary 2011 season.

The Longhorns are currently ranked #6 in the NCAA Division I rankings according to Baseball America with a current record of 3-1 and have outscored their opponents 31 to 10.

Weiss, a true freshman from Breham, Texas is the Longhorns starting third baseman and is off to a very hot start. Through four games Weiss is batting .818 with a double, two triple’s and an impressive 7 RBI.

Knebel a 6’3” right hander is a highly touted freshman pitcher from Georgetown, Texas and is expected to contribute in late innings as a reliever.

“We are very excited to have two players from one of the premier baseball programs in the country,” said Bullfrogs Owner and President Jeff Royle. “Players of this caliber are recruited by teams from all over the country and it speaks volumes for what we are doing here in Green Bay that they want to be Bullfrogs.”
