The Waterloo Bucks announced the signing of left-handed pitcher Mike Wisecarver, originally from Kenner, Louisiana, to their 2011 roster. Wisecarver is a junior at Nicholls State University.

In eight games this season for the Colonels, Wisecarver owns a 2-2 record with a 4.18 ERA. In 32.1 innings pitched, Wisecarver has struck out 14 with 10 walks and has started in five games.

Wisecarver spent his freshman and sophomore seasons pitching for Delgado Community College in New Orleans, Louisiana. Last season for DCC, Wisecarver finished with a 4-4 record, a 5.50 ERA, and 54 strikeouts in 72 innings pitched. In 2009, he compiled an ERA of 5.82 with eight appearances, earning a record of 1-1. Wisecarver also spent time playing outfield for the Dolphins.
