The Rochester Honkers Baseball Club has signed outfielder Ryan McIntyre and infielder/pitcher Martin Medina, both of the California State University-Bakersfield Roadrunners.

McIntyre, a 6-0, 190 pound junior, from Henderson, Nevada has started in all but one game so far this season for the Runners, and leads the team with a batting average of .371. He also leads the team in extra base hits with 15, ten doubles and four triples and a homerun. With those four triples, and 11 stolen bases on 13 attempts, McIntyre will look to bring speed to the Honkers.

Martin Medina, a 6-0, 200 pound, junior from Ventura, California, is a dual threat for the Runners, playing infield and pitching. Medina has started all 30 games in the infield for the Runners, and pitched in 10 as the closer. He currently leads the team in homeruns with four, and in RBI with 30. Medina has been one of the most reliable fielders for the Runners, with a fielding percentage of .986 (two errors in 137 plays).

As a pitcher, Medina has five saves on the season, in his 10 appearances. He has pitched 16.1 innings, allowing only 4 earned runs and striking out 21. He posts a 1-1 record with a 2.20 ERA while opponents are batting .260 against him.

Both McIntyre and Medina spent the past summer in the Alaska Summer League, playing for the Alaska Goldpanners. McIntyre is a 2008 graduate of Coronado High School in Henderson, Nevada, and Medina is also a 2008 graduate, but from Saint Bonaventure High School in Ventura, California.
