Madison, WI – January 26, 2012. The Madison Mallards will host their annual first pitch event on Thursday, February 9th at 6:00 pm at the Warner Park Community Recreation Center.At this event the Mallards will be announcing a special event for the 2012 season as well as several ballpark improvements at the “Duck Pond.” A first look of the promotional schedule for the season will also be announced.
Speakers at the event will include City of Madison Mayor Paul Soglin, Mallards Owner Steve Schmitt, and Mallards President Vern Stenman. A question and answer session about the Mallards with Stenman and Mallards General Manager Conor Caloia will follow the announcement.
This family friendly event will include ballpark food and soda and will be open to the public, free of charge. Mallards Mascot Maynard G. Mallard will be in attendance as well as plenty of kids activities including the Mallards bounce house.
7-Game Packs can be purchased at the event as the Mallards sales staff will be on-hand to assist fans and answer questions. Current 7-Game Pack holders will also be able to select 7-Game Pack and seat preference for 2012.
