(ST. CLOUD, MINN)—The St. Cloud Rox recently announced the hiring of Zack Fisch to serve as Play-by-Play broadcaster for the club’s inaugural 2012 season.

A well known voice in St. Cloud, Fisch has called St. Cloud State Hockey for the past four years for both KVSC-FM and Husky Productions TV. The four-time Minnesota AP award winner serves as the Sports Director at KVSC.

“I am beyond thrilled to join the Rox. To be the first broadcaster in team history is an honor,” Fisch said. “The opportunity to work in the Northwoods League and stay in St. Cloud, which has been my home for the last four years, is a perfect fit.”

Fisch also brings vast Northwoods League experience to the Rox. He spent the 2011 season as the broadcaster for the Rochester Honkers, and previously served as studio producer for the River Bats Radio Network in 2010. Fisch also has experience calling high school sports for Fox Sports Prep Zone, and games for the Granite City Lumberjacks of the NA3HL.

“We’re excited to have Zack aboard for the season. He brings a lot of experience that we know the fans will enjoy,” said Team Vice-President Scott Schreiner.

All 70 Rox games will be heard on 1390 The Fan with Fisch having the call. The club’s inaugural season kicks off May 30 at Wade Stadium in Duluth. The Rox inaugural home opener is June 2nd at 7:05pm at Joe Faber Field.
