Lakeshore downed the Mallards twice to take sole posession of first place, while the Rox continued their tumble as they dropped their fourth game in a row. This recap is not complete and will be finalized later.

Lakeshore 5, Madison 4 (Game 1, 7 innings)

In a battle of the two best teams in the South Division, Lakeshore pulled away in the sixth and fended off a Madison rally in the first game of a double-header. Brett Siddall (Cansius) hit a clutch two-run home run in the sixth to break a 3-3 tie and lead the Chinooks to a 5-4 win. Teammate Jake Noll (FGCU) added a solo home run and picked up two RBIs. Pete Alonso (Florida) hit a solo home run in the top of the ninth but the Mallards couldn't complete the rally. Andrew Elliot (Wright State) picked up the save for Lakeshore while Sterling Koerner (FGCU) earned the win.

Lakeshore 2, Madison 0 (Game 2, 7 innings)

The Chinooks took the second game of the double-header to complete the sweep of the Mallards and move into first as Madison dropped into third place. Lakeshore scored two runs in the third on a RBI double and sac fly and it was enough offense behind seven shutout innings from the Chinooks pitching. Starter Joe Pavlovich (UW-Oshkosh) went five shutout innings, allowing just two hits while striking out six to pick up the win. Closer Luke Lowery (Southern Mississippi) shut down Madison in the ninth to pick up his third save on the season.

Alexandria 5, St. Cloud 3

The Blue Anchors scored three runs in the fourth to end a nine-game losing streak and hand the Rox their fourth straight defeat, 5-3. Blake Bass (Angelo St) pitched into the seventh, allowing three runs while striking out four to pick up the win. Collegiate teammate Graylon Brown (Angerlo St) threw two no-hit innings to pick up the save. Alexandria had a strong 3-4 punch as Roman Collins (DMACC) and Kris Goodman (Iowa) went a combined 5-8 with four of the Blue Anchors five runs.

La Crosse 4, Wisconsin Rapids 2

NWL Pitcher of the Night Kevin Roy (Columbia) was dominant over six shutout innings to lead the Loggers to a 4-2 win over Wisconsin Rapids. Roy shut down the Rafters hitters, allowing just three hits without allowing a walk and striking out nine. However, he took the no-descison as the Rafters tied it up at two in the seventh. La Crosse came back and scored runs in the eighth and ninth to pick up the win. Marc Frazier (Nicholls St) went two innings to pick up the win while Breckin Williams (Missouri) picked up his sixth save. Ryan Kirby (San Diego) went 2-4 with a home run and a double as well as three RBIs for the Rafters.

Wisconsin 8, Kalmazoo 1

Wisconsin chased Kalamzoo starter Dillon Haviland after just one inning as they put up six runs in the first and coasted to an 8-1 win. NWL Player of the Night Jake Jeffries (Cal State Fullerton) went 4-5 with a double, a home run and two RBIs as well as two runs. Wisconsin starter Zach Barr (Arkansas) picked up the win as he allowed just one run- not earned- over six innings while alllowing just two hits and striking out four.

Green Bay 6, Battle Creek 5 (13 innings)

After Green Bay scored twice in the eighth to tie it and push it to extras, the Bullfrogs struck for two runs in the top of the 13th and the Bombers didn't have an answer. Green Bay had scored twice in the top of the 11th, but Battle Creek had tied it in the bottom frame. They scored once in the bottom of the 13th but the Bullfrogs pulled out the slim 6-5 win. Seven pitchers threw for the Bullfrogs with Dan Becks (St. Edwards) getting the win and Ivan Vietiz (Lenoir-Rhyne), who scored the eventual game-winner, picked up the save.
