Thursday's pitcher of the night is Saginaw Valley State freshman Mike Ellenebest, a right-hander for the Green Bay Bullfrogs. Green Bay shutout La Crosse, 3-0, behind Ellenbest's excellent performance over eight strong innings.

He allowed just three hits and walked one while striking out six and facing only three batters over the minimum. He didn't pitch the ninth as he had already thrown 99 pitches, but picked up the win. It came after posting his then-longest start of the summer, a no-decisision last week against Madison when he threw six innings but needed 104 pitches. Ellenbest posted the most strikeouts he's had in a game this season, six, as he lowered his ERA to 3.27 over 29 innings.
