Thursday's Player of the Night is Mankato shortstop Peter Maris from the University of California Santa Barbara. Maris entered Thursday's game homerless in his previous 28 games before going deep twice in a 11-4 victory over Thunder Bay.
Maris hit a two-run home run in the sixth and ninth as he went back-to-back with his teammate and finished with five RBIs on the night. He's now hitting .371 on the year with 26 RBIs and 15 runs scored.
