Tuesday's Northwoods League Player of the Night is Alexandria shortstop Craig Nennig, a sophomore from Ohio State. Nennig and the Blue Anchors took game one of a doubleheader against Willmar, 6-4, behind a four-run rally in the fifth that was sparked by the shortstop.
Nennig came up just shy of a cycle, as he hit a single, double and home run and drew a walk on a perfect day at the plate. He finished 3-3 with a pair of runs scored and two RBIs. Nennig is hitting .286 on the season for Alexandria, with 14 doubles and 30 runs in 48 games along with 20 RBIs.
