Kalamazoo, MI – The Kalamazoo Growlers, creators of the Salute to Selfie Jersey that won Ballpark Digest’s Promotion of the Year (2014), are back at it with the announcement of the team’s “Emojersey” Night.

Fans of the Northwoods League affiliate have the opportunity to decide emojis to be placed on the team’s official jersey to be worn Saturday, August 13th against the Rockford Rivets. Fans can choose from over 100 emoji’s listed on the team’s website along with the ability to submit emojis of their choice.  The votes will be tallied and the top 25 emojis will be placed on the team’s official jersey that night. One random voter will receive a free Emojersey and 5-game pack along with five (5) voters receiving the team's 5-game pack that includes tickets to the Emojersey Night.

Wikipedia describes emoji’s as ideograms and smileys used in electronic messages and Web pages. The characters, which are used much like emoticons or kaomojis, exist in various genres, including facial expressions, common objects, places and types of weather, and animals. Emojis have become increasingly popular since their international inclusion is almost all phone operating systems. Originally meaning pictograph, the word emoji comes from Japanese e (絵, "picture") + moji (文字, "character").

Fans can guarantee tickets to this night and the team’s top weekend dates of the season by locking in the Growlers new 5-game packs.  5-game packs include the best seats at the team’s five (5) best games with all-you-can-eat food and beverages with guaranteed giveaways. There are two 5-game pack options for fans to choose from and are $69 per package.  Fan’s can buy online by going to http://kalamazoo-growlers.nwltickets.com/ and clicking on multi-game packages.  Fans can also call the team’s front office at (269) 492-9966 or by emailing tickets@growlersbaseball.com
