Rafters’ Chris Cooper Throws 7 Shutout Innings

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters crushed the Kalamazoo Growlers 10-0 on Thursday night. The Rafters had a big night offensively, scoring 10 runs on 11 hits, but they also received a big night from starting pitcher Chris Cooper (Texas A&M Corpus Christi). The righty from Montgomery, Texas threw seven scoreless innings and allowed four hits and a walk with six strikeouts. He improved to 3-0 and now holds a 0.50 earned run average over three starts.

Wisconsin Rapids will host Kalamazoo again on Friday night at 7:05.
