The Madison Mallards shut out the Kalamazoo Growlers 6-0 on the road Sunday with a big game from their starter. Righthander Mitchell Kilkenny (Texas A&M) improved to 3-0 and lowered his earned run average to 0.37 in his fourth start of the season. Kilkenny was named the Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night, as he threw seven scoreless innings and allowed six hits and two walks with six strikeouts.
Madison will play Kalamazoo on the road on Monday night at 7:05.
