The Rockford Rivets took down the Madison Mallards 7-3 on the road Thursday night with a big day from their cleanup hitter. First baseman Hunter Hargrove (Texas Tech) hit 4-for-4 with a walk, a run and five RBI in the victory. He also connected on a three-run homer in the top of the fifth to give Rockford the lead for good, as he was named the Northwoods League Player of the Night.
Rockford will host Madison on Friday night at 6:35.
