The Rockford Rivets had an incredible game from their starting pitcher in a 3-1 victory over the Madison Mallards at home on Friday night. Righthander Drake Robison (Iowa) threw eight scoreless innings and gave up just one hit and one walk with four strikeouts to be named the Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night.
Rockford will play the Kalamazoo Growlers on the road Saturday night at 6:05.
