The Madison Mallards swept the Kenosha Kingfish in a doubleheader on Friday night and won the first game 8-2 with a solid night on the mound from their pitcher. Righthander Mike Byrne (Florida) threw six innings and gave up two runs (one earned) on five hits and zero walks with an incredible 14 strikeouts to be named the Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night.
Madison will play the Kalamazoo Growlers on the road Saturday night at 6:05.
