Gerry Salisbury (Ohio) earned pitcher of the night after throwing a complete game shutout for the Express in their win over Duluth. After retiring the side in-order in the openining inning, he put two guys on to lead off the second, but got the next three out. Salisbury retired the next 13, issued a walk in the sixth, but got out of it. After throwing a perfect eighth, he issued a walk in the ninth with one out, but got the next two to fly out and strike out to end the game. Salisbury ended his outing with only four hits and two walks while striking out five for his fifth win of the season.
