Tom Stoffel (Virginia Tech) earned pitcher of the night after holding St. Cloud scoreless in the final four wins on their way to a game two victory. The Bombers' first basemen switched over to pitcher in the seventh inning, down by one. Stoffel allowed a single and hit a batter in the seventh with two outs, but got the next guy to fly out. An error put another on in the eighth, but struck out the final two of three. He struck out two out of three again in the ninth and retired the side in-order in the tenth as the Bombers won the game in the bottom half. Stoffel finished the game by only allowing one hit while striking out eight.
