Phillip Sikes (New Mexico) earned player of the night after coming up big at the plate and on the mound for the Express in their win over Mankato. Sikes hit an RBI single in the second inning. He then singled again in the third, but didn’t produce anything. Sikes hit a double in the fifth and then singled in the ninth where he came around to score. He made the last out in the top of the ninth and then came on to pitch. He allowed two guys from an error and a walk, but struck out two of the final three batters to pick up his fourth save.
