Justin Watland (San Jose State) earned pitcher of the night after throwing eight strike outs in seven innings for the Mallards in their win over Wisconsin Rapids. After sending down the side in-order in the first, the first run came around, but it was unearned. Watland then put down the next 11 batters in a row, gave up a double, but got out of it with a ground out and strike out. He retired the side in order in the seventh, finished with just one unearned run on two hits and no walks.
