The Eau Claire Express and Willmar Stingers started the day off with a great performance from the Stingers, capturing the win 8-3. La Crosse Loggers defeated the Thunder Bay Border Cats 12-5. Levi Usher (Kirkwood CC/ Louisville) was awarded player of the night with his strong plays tonight. Mankato MoonDogs and St. Cloud Rox split their double header tonight with MoonDogs winning game #1 and Rox taking game #2. 

Eau Claire Express 3,  Willmar Stingers 8 (Game #1)

The Willmar Stingers defeated the Eau Claire Express with a final score 8-3. The Stingers started off the game with a strong performance in the third inning scoring four runs to capture the lead over the Express. Eau Claire’s Spencer Myers (Notre Dame) had one RBI and hit one double. Chase Stanke (Minnesota) hit one double and two RBIs for the Willmar Stingers. The winning pitcher was Willmar’s John Bezdicek (Southwest Minnesota State) pitching a solid five innings giving up one run, five hits, and one strike out. The losing pitcher for the game was Eau Claire Express’ Andrew Tri (St. Thomas). 

Eau Claire Express, Willmar Stingers (Game #2) 

Willmar Stingers win game #2 in their double header again the Eau Claire Express. The final score was 7-3. Patrick Borderwick (Concordia St. Paul), Daniel Walsh (Sacramento City), and Justing King (Alabama) all received two RBIs for Willmar. The winning pitcher was Polo Portela (Cumberland) pitched a solid seven innings with two runs for the Willmar Stingers. Eau Claire’s Cole LaLonde (Century CC) was the losing pitcher of the game.

Kenosha Kingfish 3, Rockford Rivets 14 (Game #1)

The Rockford Rivets dominated the Kenosha Kingfish in their first game of their double header with a final score 14-3. Kenosha’s Zachary Nogalski (Wisconsin-Milwaukee) scored one home run along with one RBI and one double. For Rockford, Aaron Mann (Drury) received three RBIs, one triple, and one double. The winning pitcher was Rivets Jordan Nelson (Dubuque) pitching two runs, zero walks, and two strike outs during his four inning time at the plate. Kingfish’s Sam Marhefke (Loras College) was the losing pitcher for game 1 between the Kingfish and Rivets. 

Rockford Rivets 5, Kenosha Kingfish 0 (Game #2) 

Rockford Rivets add another win in their pocket defeating and shutting out the Kingfish again today during their double header. The final score of the second game was 5-0. Rivets had a impressive top of the sixth inning scoring four runs to bridge the gap between the Kingfish. Rockford’s Matt Higgins (Bellarmine) and Jeff Heinrich (South Carolina) had one RBI and hit one double each. The winning pitcher was Brad Littleton (Lewis) pitching all innings with zero runs, one hit, zero walks, and nine strike outs. The losing pitcher from Kenosha was Matthew Plisko (Macalester College). 

Lakeshore Chinooks 1, Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 4 (Game #1)

The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders had a strong bottom of the first inning scoring two runs and beating the Lakeshore Chinooks in the teams first game of two tonight. The final score was 4-1. Andrew Bullock (Western Carolina) had two RBIs and one hit for the Spiders. The winning pitcher for game #1 was Bubba Horton (Minnesota) with zero runs, one hit, and six strike outs. In the last inning, River Carbone swooped in for the save for Fond du Lac. Chinooks losing pitcher was Parker Coyne (South Carolina) pitching a total of five innings with two walks and eight strike outs. 

Lakeshore Chinooks 13, Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 4 (Game #2) 

Lakeshore Chinooks come back to game #2 and dominate the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 13-4. After the Chinooks loss in the first game the team came into the second game for revenge and domination which they showed after their great performance tonight. Chinooks Cameron Hart (Lansing CC) had five RBIs, a triple, and one double. For the Spiders, Andrew Schleusner (Montana State Billings) hit a double and two RBIs. The winning pitcher was Tony Grabowske (Stephen F. Austin) for his four innings of work. Parker Kirkpatrick (Northern Illinois) swept the last three inning for the save for the Lakeshore Chinooks. Fond du Lac’s losing pitcher was Ryan Miller (Benedictine). 

Wisconsin Woodchucks 10, Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 7 (Game #1)

Wisconsin Rivals the Woodchucks and Rafters rallied this afternoon with the Woodchucks taking the first win of the day against the Rafters. The final score was a close 10-7. Rapids had a strong first inning scoring five runs but it wasn’t enough to stay ahead of the Woodchucks during the remainder of the game. Adam Frank (FDU) and Brandon Seltzer (Palm Beach Atlantic) scored home runs for the Wisconsin Woodchucks along with Seltzer receiving four RBIs. The winning pitcher was Maddux Solomon (Seminole State College) letting by two runs and one walk during his five inning time at the mound. Tom Ambrosino (Adelphi University) came in the last inning for the save with zero runs or hits. Rafters losing pitcher was Winston Allen (Delaware). 

Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 5, Wisconsin Woodchucks 2 (Game #2) 

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters make a great comeback after losing game #1 shutting out the Woodchucks during game #2. The final score was 5-2. The Rafter made their move in the top of the seventh scoring three runs bridging the gap between the Woodchucks. Jake Dunham (Northern Illinois) scored one home run along with five RBIs and one double. The winning pitcher was Nate Barnes (Mount Mercy) with zero runs and three hits during his diving innings at the pitchers mound. Jimmy Borzone (Dixie State) earned the save for the Rafters while Myles Gayman (Barry University) was the losing pitcher for the Woodchucks. 

Mankato MoonDogs 12, St. Cloud Rox 3 (Game #1) 

The Mankato MoonDogs outscored the St. Cloud Rox 12-3 with the MoonDogs not playing any games scoring seven runs in the first two innings. A strong performance was from Mankato’s Tyler Casagrande (Arizona) recieving five RBIs and hitting two doubles. The winning pitcher from the MoonDogs was Nick Schmidt pitching a total of six innings with one run and three hits. Richie Holetz (University of Nebraska-Omaha) was the losing pitcher of the game. 

Mankato MoonDogs 0, St. Cloud Rox 1 (Game #2) 

The Mankato MoonDogs and St. Cloud Rox split their double header after the Rox shut out the MoonDogs in a low scoring game. Tonights game was five innings with the final score was 1-0 for game #2. St. Cloud Hance Smith (California Berkeley) received one RBI and one double hitter. The losing pitcher was Jacob Nagel (Bellarmine) with one run and seven hits from Mankato. The winning pitcher of the game was Rj Martinez (Minot State) giving up zero runs and one hit. 

Waterloo Bucks 7, Duluth Huskies 3

The Duluth Huskies lost against the Waterloo Bucks 7-3 after the Bucks had a unbelievable second inning scoring four runs to take the lead over the Huskies. Waterloo’s Mike Nyisztor (Rutgers) and Patrick Ferguson (Kent State) had one RBI each along with Ferguson hitting a double. The winning pitcher was Bucks Adam Ketelsen (Iowa) with three runs and four hits during his five innings at the mound. Jimmy Smiley (Columbia) came in for the save with zero runs and zero hits. Duluth’s losing pitcher was Spencer Koelewyn (Nebraska, Omaha). 

Traverse City Pit Spitters 6, Kokomo Jackrabbits 1

Traverse City Pit Spitters out scored the Kokomo Jackrabbits 6-1. The first four inning were no score but in the top of the fifth the Spitters started to take action scoring six runs total. Traverse Cities Daniel Head (New Mexico State) and Andrew Morrow (Michigan State) had two RBIs. For the Jackrabbits, Logan Jarvis (Belmont) hit two doubles during the game. The winning pitcher was Pit Spitters Evan Gates (North Carolina AT) pitching a steady seven innings with one run, two hits, and two walks. Kokomo’s Caleb Reinhardt (Evansville) was the losing pitcher of the game pitching a total of five innings. 

La Crosse Loggers 12, Thunder Bay Border Cats 5

La Crosse Loggers rally to conquer the Thunder Bay Border Cats with a final score 12-5. The Loggers dominated the game scoring three runs in the third and six runs in the top of the seventh inning.  La Crosse’s Tj Byrd (Young Harris) and Levi Usher (Kirkwood CC/Louisville) each scored one home run. Usher also hit one triple and three RBIs. The winning pitcher was Marius Balandis (St. Louis) pitched four innings with two runs and three hits. For the Cats the losing pitcher was Dj DePiero (Bradley University (IL)). 

Madison Mallards 1, Green Bay Booyah 3

The Green Bay Booyah beat the Madison Mallards 3-1 with the Booyah taking the lead in the bottom of the third and continuing their lead for the win. Joe Mason (Mount Olive) and Mike Ferri (Milwaukee) both had one RBI each. The winning pitcher was Jack Mahoney (Milwaukee) pitching five inning with one run and one walk. Tanner Lane (Pittsburg State) had the saving pitch for Green Bay with zero runs and zero hits. Madison’s losing pitcher was Nick Pogue (Florida).  

Rochester Honkers 4, Bismarck Larks 6

The Bismarck Larks defeated the Rochester Honkers improving their record 10-5 and remaining in the lead of the Great Plain West region. The ending game score was 6-4. Larks Zack Gregory (Arkansas) hit one triple and one RBI. The winning pitcher for Bismarck was Hunter Kloke (Indiana University- Southeast) pitching five innings with two runs and one hit. The losing pitcher was Ryan Dorney (Saint Martins University) for the Rochester Honkers. 

Kalamazoo Growlers 6, Battle Creek Bombers 2

The Kalamazoo Growlers got their mojo back with their win against the Battle Creek Bombers showing their skills in the top of the seventh inning scoring four runs. The final score was 6-2. Kalamazoo’s Gabe Rivera (University of Miami) received two RBIs along with Dakota Kotowski (Missouri State University). The winning pitcher was Braydon Nelson (St. Bonaventure University) pitching six innings with two runs, two walks, and four strike outs. Growlers Max Bain (Northwood University) snuck in with the save with zero runs and three hits. Bombers losing pitcher was Ping-Chun Ho (Barry).
