The Rochester Honkers and Bismarck Larks started the sunny afternoon with game 1 of 2 with the Honkers crushing the Larks 8-1. The Waterloo Bucks demolished the Duluth Huskies 13-4 with great help from Dylan Phillips (Kansas State). La Crosse Loggers vs Thunder Bay Border Cats and the Traverse City Pit Spitters and Kokomo Jackrabbits both split their double headers today. 

Rochester Honkers 8, Bismarck Larks 1 (Game #1)

The Rochester Honkers defeated the Bismarck Larks in game #1 this afternoon with a final score 8-1. Honkers had two strong first innings scoring six runs right out the gates. Brennan Schmitt (UW-La Crosse) had two RBIs for Rochester. Ryan Wrobleski (Dallas Baptist University) hit a double and one RBI. The winning pitcher was Honkers Daniel Silva (UC-Colorado Springs) pitching a strong eight innings with one run and four hits. The losing pitcher was Fernando Diaz Jr. (Alabama AM) from the Bismarck Larks. 

Rochester Honkers 6, Bismarck Larks 2 (Game #2)

The Rochester Honkers beat the Bismarck Larks once again in game #2 of the teams double header. The ending game score 6-2. In the fifth and sixth inning the Honkers scored five runs to take the lead above the Larks. Rochester’s Jack Thelen (UW-Milwaukee) had two RBIs and hit one double. The winning pitcher was Honkers Evan Layne (Lake Erie College) pitching a solid six innings with one run. Marc Bisogno (Fordham University) came in for the save with three innings giving up one run and one hit. Larks John Howard (Washington Univ. St. Louis) was the losing pitcher of the game. 

La Crosse Loggers 0, Thunder Bay Border Cats 7 (Game #1)

The Thunder Bay Border Cats redeem themselves after shutting out the La Crosse Loggers in game #1. The final score was a solid 7-0. Cats Ryne Edmondson (Houston Baptist University) received three RBIs and one double hit. The winning pitcher was Joe Moran (Anderson University (IN)) with zero runs and eight strike outs during his six inning time at the pitchers mound. Peyton Burks (Arkansas at Pine Bluff) swooped in for the save for Thunder Bay. The losing pitcher was Jack Ferguson (Madonna) from the La Crosse Loggers. 

La Crosse Loggers 8, Thunder Bay Border Cats 5 (Game #2)

The La Crosse Loggers took the win over the Thunder Bay Border Cats splitting the win of the two teams double headers today. The final score was 8-5a. The Loggers found right off the bat scoring five runs during the top of the second inning. Cody Jefferis (San Diego) had four RBIs and two double hits for the Loggers. The winning pitcher of the game was Jon Meyerring (Miami-OH) pitching a total of five innings with three runs and three hits. Jared Freilich (Penn State) was the saving pitcher for La Crosse and the losing pitcher was Cats Joey Hecht (Daytona State College (FL)).  

Waterloo Bucks 13, Duluth Huskies 4 (Game #1) 

The Waterloo Bucks dominated the Duluth Huskies in their first game of the double header this afternoon. The ending score was 13-4. Waterloo took control of the game beginning at the top of the second scoring two run and continuing their lead. A great performance was from Dylan Phillips (Kansas State), hitting one double, one triple, and two RBIs for the Bucks. The winning pitcher was Austin VanDeWiele (North Iowa Area CC) pitching six innings with two walks. Jack Parisi (Spalding) came in for the save for Waterloo with zero runs and zero hits. Duluth’s losing pitcher was Mason Bryant (Texas). 

Waterloo Bucks 10, Duluth Huskies 3 (Game #2)

The Waterloo Bucks blew the Duluth Huskies out of the water during game #2 during their double header. The final score was 10-3. Bucks took control during the second inning scoring three runs bridging the gap further and further from the Huskies. Ramon Enriquez (Oklahoma Baptist) scored one home run along with one RBI for Duluth. Waterloo’s Bennett Hostetler (North Dakota State) had three RBIs and one double. The winning pitcher was Zach Jones (Spalding) and Alex Rao (Notre Dame) was the losing pitcher. 

Kalamazoo Growlers 6, Battle Creek Bombers 12 (Game #1)

The Kalamazoo Growlers were beaten by the Battle Creek Bombers for game #1 of the double header series. The final score was a 12-6. Roy Thurman (Akron) scored one home run along with four RBIs and one double hit. For Kalamazoo, Game Rivera (University of Miami) and Fox Leum (North Iowa Area CC) both scored one home run each with Leum also receiving two RBIs. The winning pitcher was Battle Creeks Walter Talcott (Earlham College) pitching five innings with three runs and eight strike outs. Burrell Jones (Wabash Valley College) came in for the save for Battle Creek. The losing pitcher was Dion Henderson (Texas Christian University) for Kalamazoo Growlers.

Kalamazoo Growlers 0, Battle Creek Bombers 1 (Game #2)

The Battle Creek Bombers take their second win of the night against the Kalamazoo Growlers with a nail-bitting last few innings. The final score was 1-0. The game was scoreless until the bottom of the eighth inning when Battle Creek scored one run. Bombers Josh Sears (Freed Hardeman) had one RBI and two hits. The losing pitcher was Kalamazoo’s DJ Moore (Huntington University) with one run and two hits. Battle Creek’s Mitchell Lee (Lamar) was the winning pitcher of the game with zero runs and zero hits during his two inning time at work. 

Traverse City Pit Spitters 7, Kokomo Jackrabbits 6 (Game #1)

The Traverse City Pit Spitters rallied for the win over the Kokomo Jackrabbits in the top of the eighth inning scoring four runs. The final score of game #1 was a close 7-6. Spitters Jake Wilson (Bowling Green State) hitting a triple and four RBIs. The winning pitcher was Pat Hohlfeld (Jefferson University) with zero runs and zero hits during his two inning period. The losing pitch for the Jackrabbits was Ryan Boyer (Pitt-Bradford). 

Traverse City Pit Spitters 3, Kokomo Jackrabbits 5 (Game #2)

The Kokomo Jackrabbits came together and grabbed game #2 win over the Traverse City Pit Spitters. The two teams split wins with the Spitters winning game #1 and the Jackrabbits winning game #2. The final score was a close 5-3. Kokomo’s Logan Jarvis (Belmont) and Austin Elder (CSU-Northridge) both had one RBI and one double each. The winning pitcher was Joey Haass (Delaware) and Ryan Boyer (Pitt-Bradford) swinging in with the saving pitch both for the Kokomo Jackrabbits. Traverse City Pit Spitters losing pitcher was Conrad Voss (Dallas) with three runs and two hits. 

Lakeshore Chinooks, Madison Mallards 

Today’s game in Madison between the Mallards and the Chinooks has been suspended in the top of the 5th inning. The game will be completed to nine innings starting tomorrow June 12 at 5:00 in Madison. The regularly scheduled game will take place thirty minutes following the conclusion of the first game and will be seven innings.

Rockford Rivets, Kenosha Kingfish 

Tonight’s game in Kenosha between the Kingfish and the Rivets has been postponed due to weather. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on June 20 in Kenosha starting at 5:05. Both games will be seven innings.

Wisconsin Rapids Rafters, Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters and Fond du Lac Dock Spiders game has been postponed due to weather. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on June 29th with the first game starting at 5:05PM.

Green Bay Booyah 1, Wisconsin Woodchucks 4

The Wisconsin Woodchucks won agains the Green Bay Booyah with a final score 4-1. Woodchucks Angel Tiburcio (FIU) hit one double and one RBI. For Green Bay Nick Kreutzer (Arkansas Pine Bluff) received one RBI. The winning pitcher was Robert Wegielnik (FL Southwest State College) pitching a solid six inning with zero runs and two hits. Tom Ambrosino (Adelphi University) came in for the save coming for Wisconsin in the last inning with zero runs and zero hits. Green Bay’s Will Saxton (Florida International) was the losing pitcher of the game. 

Eau Claire Express 7, Mankato MoonDogs 4

Eau Claire Express and Mankato MoonDogs go into extra innings with the Express coming on top with the win. The final score was 7-4. The Eau Claire really brought it after the tenth inning scoring four runs to take the overall win. MoonDogs Tanner Craig (Evansville) scored one home run along with three home runs. The winning pitcher was Noah Denoyer (San Joaquin Delta) pitching four innings with three strike outs and one run for the Express. Jimmy Larson (Minnesota State) was the Mankato MoonDogs losing pitcher of the game.  

St. Cloud Rox 2, Willmar Stingers 3

The Willmar Stinger outscored the St. Cloud Rox with a close 3-2. The Stinger came together as a team to take the lead in the bottom of the seventh scoring one more run to grab the win. Stingers Justing King (Alabama) scored one home run as well as one RBI. St.Cloud Rox Jordan Barth (Augustana University) and Tyler Finke (Southeastern Louisiana) both received one RBI each. The winning pitcher was Casey Cobb (Alabama) pitching two innings with zero runs and zero hits. Rox losing pitcher was Blake Stelzer (Concordia University- St. Paul) with one hit and one run.
