The Bismarck Larks and Rochester Honkers started off this Father’s Day afternoon with a great game in the Northwoods League. The Honkers crushed the Larks with a final score 10-2. The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders shut out the Lakeshore Chinooks again with an ending score 6-0. Traverse City Pit Spitters defeated the Rockford Rivets 2-0. A strong performance was by Kyle Jones (University 0f Toledo) with the seasons first shut out by the Spitters. 

Bismarck Larks 2, Rochester Honkers 10

The Rochester Honkers defeated the Bismarck Larks this afternoon with a strong 10-2. Rochester scored a consistent number of runs during the first six innings to capture the win. They had a total of 10 runs and 15 hits. Tristian Peterson (New Mexico State University) hit one home run along with two doubles and two RBI. The winning pitcher was Ryan Middendorf (Lake Erie College) giving up two runs and four hits during his seven inning time at the mound. The Larks, Fernando Diaz Jr. (Alabama AM) was the losing pitcher. 

Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 4, Madison Mallards 3

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters had a close win against he Madison Mallards with a ending score of 4-3. Rafters Jake Dunham (Northern Illinois) had one home run and one RBI. Drew Benefield (Louisville) hit one home run and one RBI for Madison. The winning pitcher was Matt Osterberg (St. Cloud State) who pitched five innings with one walk and four strike outs. Mallards losing pitcher was Deylen Miley (Bellarmine University). 

Kalamazoo Growlers 3, Kokomo Jackrabbits 4

The Kokomo Jackrabbits stay on top adding another win over the Kalamazoo Growlers to their 2019 season record (12-9). The final score was a close 4-3. Talon File (Eastern Illinois) hit one home run and one RBI during today’s game. The winning pitcher was Jackrabbits Aaron Husson (UMBC) and Joey Haass (Delaware) with the save. The losing pitcher was Kaden Helsel (Drury University) from the Growlers. 

Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 6, Lakeshore Chinooks 0

The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders shut out the Lakeshore Chinooks 6-0. The Spiders had a solid top of the seventh scoring three run and capturing the win over Lakeshore. Fond du Lac had six runs and eleven hits throughout the game. Tim Elko (Mississippi) had one RBI and one double hit for the Spiders. The losing pitcher was Tony Grabowske (Stephen F. Austin). Aaron Ball Jr. (Kankakee CC) was the winning pitcher for Fond du Lac giving up no runs and four hit during his strong six innings of work. Houston Glad (Texas Wesleyan) swooped in for the save with no runs and one hit. 

Rockford Rivets 0, Traverse City Pit Spitters 2

Traverse City Pit Spitters shut out the Rockford Rivets in a back end action packed game with the Spitters scoring two runs in the bottom of the seventh. The final score was 2-0. Traverse Cities Jake Wilson (Bowling Green State) had one home run and two RBI. The winning pitcher was Kyle Jones (University of Toledo) who pitched all nine innings with a shut out giving up no runs, two hits, and five strike outs for the Pit Spitters. Kyle Seeback (Northern Illinois) was the losing pitcher of the game from the Rivets. 

Thunder Bay Border Cats 10, Waterloo Bucks 3

Thunder Bay Border Cats demolish the Waterloo Bucks tonight with a 10-3 win. The Cats scored an impressive six runs during the top of the eight. Ryne Edmondson (Houston Baptist University) hit a double and received three RBI for Thunder Bay. The winning pitcher was Carlos Lequerica (Bethune-Cookman U (FL)) who pitched five innings with two strike outs and one run. Waterloo’s losing pitcher was Justin Beyer (Wagner). 

Wisconsin Woodchucks 0, Green Bay Booyah 7

The Green Bay Booyah had a strong shut out against the Wisconsin Woodchucks. The final score was 7-0. Booyah had a total of seven runs and six hits throughout the game. Jared Godman (Oklahoma) had three RBI and one walk for Green Bay. The winning pitcher was Tanner Lane (Pittsburg State) with no runs and two hits during his six innings of work. The losing pitcher was Wisconsin’s Nate Madej (FL Southwest State College). 

Duluth Huskies 5, St. Cloud Rox 6

The St. Cloud Rox came together in the last few innings of the game to defeat the Duluth Huskies. The final score was a nail-bitting 6-5. The Rox had six hits and six runs throughout the entire game. Ramon Enriquez (Oklahoma Baptist) received one home run and two RBI for Duluth. St. Cloud’s Jordan Barth (Augustana University) hitting one triple and three RBI. The winning pitcher was Cam Kline (Minnesota State Mankato) and Joey Stock (St. Johns University) came in for the save. Duluth’s losing pitcher was Austin Smith (Southwestern University) had ten strike outs in his five innings at work. 

Mankato MoonDogs 5, Willmar Stingers 10

The Willmar Stingers demolished the Mankato MoonDogs with a final score 10-5. The Stingers scored a consistent number of runs throughout the game to grab the win over the MoonDogs. Michael Perez (UCLA) hit one home run and a double for Mankato. Willmar’s Justin King had one home run and one RBI. The winning pitcher was Garret Rukes (Alabama) who pitched a solid six innings with two runs and three hits. The losing pitcher was Nick Hull (Grand Canyon) for the Mankato MoonDogs. 

Eau Claire Express 3, La Crosse Loggers 4

The La Crosse Loggers beat the Eau Claire Express in a close game 4-3. The Loggers had 12 hits and four runs total during tonights game. Levi Usher (Kirkwood CC/Louisville) had two RBI for La Crosse. The winning pitcher was Marius Balandis (St. Louis) who pitched one inning with no runs and no hits. Loggers Jared Freilich (Penn State) came in for the saving pitch in the last inning of the game. Rece Finck (Illinois-Springfield) was the losing pitcher for the Express with one run and three hits. 

Kenosha Kingfish 3, Battle Creek Bombers 2

The Battle Creek Bombers lost to the Kenosha Kingfish in a close game. The Kingfish came up on top scoring one run in the top of the seventh for the win. Josh Sears (Freed Hardeman) scored one home run along with one RBI for Battle Creek. The winning pitcher was Kaleb Schmidt (Drury University) who pitched a total of six innings giving up two runs and two hits. David Luethje (University of Florida) was the saving pitcher for Kenosha with no runs and one hit. The losing pitcher was Jordan Rhodes (McDaniel) for the Battle Creek Bombers.
