The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters won their first game of two against the Green Bay Booyah. The finals score was a close 5-3. The Waterloo Bucks shut out the Thunder Bay Border Cats with an ending game score 4-0. The Eau Claire Express dominated over the Mankato MoonDogs with a final score 11-3. The Express rallied during the top of the eighth and ninth innings scoring three runs each to capture the win! 

Madison Mallards 4 , Lakeshore Chinooks 3

The Madison Mallards beat the Lakeshore Chinooks in a close battle ending the game 4-3. This afternoons game was a short but eventful five innings with the Lakeshore trying to catch up in the bottom of the fifth scoring three runs but it wasn’t enough. Mallards Andre Nnebe (Santa Clara College) hit one home run along with two RBI. The winning game pitcher was Madison’s Jarrett Scheelk (Madison College) who pitched one inning giving up no runs and one hit. The losing pitcher was Chinooks Jack Pagliarini (Northwestern). 

La Crosse Loggers 4, Rochester Honkers 2 (Game #1)

The La Crosse Loggers defeated the Rochester Honkers with an final score 4-2. The Loggers had a total of four runs and seven hits throughout tonights game. Tony Bullard (Arizona) hit one home run while Hunter Watson (Texas AM) received two home runs for La Crosse. Watson also had two RBI. For Rochester, Andy Armstrong (Oregon State University) hit one double and one RBI for the night. The wining pitcher was Tyler Shingledecker (Penn State) with two runs, four hits, and four strike outs during his five innings at the mound. Jared Freilich (Penn State) swooped in for the save during the last two innings giving up no runs and one hit. The Honkers losing pitcher was Dwayne Marshall (Maryland-Eastern Shore). 

La Crosse Loggers 2, Rochester Honkers 1 (Game #2) 

The La Crosse Loggers added the second win of the night under their belt after beating the Rochester Honkers. The final score was a close 2-1. The Loggers had a total of two runs and seven hits throughout the night game. Honkers Vinny Tosti (University of Oregon) had one triple along with one RBI. La Crosse Ryan Holgate (Arizona) hit two double and one RBI. The winning pitcher was Tristan Harvin (Birmingham Southern) who pitched six inning with one run, two hits, and five strike outs. Jared Freilich (Penn State) swooped in for the saving pitch in the last inning. The losing pitcher was Rochester’s Ryan Dorney (Saint Martins University) who had one run, five hits, and eight strike outs during his five inning time at the mound. 

Green Bay Booyah 3, Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 5 (Game #1 )

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters won game #1 of 2 against the Green Bay Booyah with ending game score of 5-3. The Rafters came out of the gate swinging scoring three runs in the bottom of the first. Nick Kreutzer (Arkansas Pine Bluff) and Chris Williams (Chipola College) both received one home run and one RBI each for Green Bay. Osvaldo Tovalin (Azusa Pacific) had two RBI for the Rafters during tonights game. The winning pitcher was Jimmy Borzone (Dixie State) with no runs, one hit, and three strike outs during his two inning of work. The losing pitcher was Chandler Ingram (Montevallo). 

Green Bay Booyah 3, Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 6 (Game #2) 

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters defeated the Green Bay Booyah in the teams double header series tonight. The final score was 6-3, with the Rafters taking the lead early in the game. Rafters CJ Willis (LSU) hit one double and two RBI. Another great performance, was by Jake Dunham (Northern Illinois) who received three RBI for Wisconsin. The winning pitcher was Gareth Stroh (Nebraska) who pitched a strong five innings with no runs, three hits, and seven strike outs. Brayden Bonner (Dixie State) came in for the save for the Rapids Rafters. The losing pitcher was Booyah Nick Riggle (California (PA)). 

Bismarck Larks 3, Willmar Stingers 5 (Game #1) 

The Willmar Stingers came out on top in the first game of the night against the Bismarck Larks. The final score was 5-3. The Stingers had a total of five runs and elven hits throughout the game. Bismarck’s Stephen Baughan (Norfolk State) hit one home run along with two RBI. For Willmar’s, Sam Baier (Augustana University) received one home run and two RBI. The winning pitcher was Stingers Polo Portela (Cumberland) who pitched six inning giving up three runs and five strike outs. Aldo Fernandez (New Mexico State) came in for the saving pitch in the last inning for the Stingers. The losing pitcher was Bismarck’s Gavin Rogers who threw all six inning with five runs and one strike out. 

Bismarck Larks 13, Willmar Stingers 1 (Game #2) 

The Bismarck Larks dominated the Willmar Stingers splitting the double header series win one and one. The ending game score was a strong 13-1. The Larks had thirteen runs and seventeen hits throughout tonights game. Damon Lux (Duke) hit one home run along with four RBI for Bismarck. The winning pitcher was Drew Mesecher (West Texas AM) who pitched all seven innings giving up one run, three hits, and five strike outs. The losing pitcher was Willmar’s Garret Rukes (Alabama).  

Kokomo Jackrabbits, Rockford Rivets

Tonight’s game in Rockford between the Rivets and the Jackrabbits has been postponed due to weather. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on July 13 in Rockford starting at 5:05. Both games will be seven innings.

Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 1, Wisconsin Woodchucks 4

The Wisconsin Woodchucks crushed the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders during tonights game. The final score was 4-1 with the Woodchucks dominating in the bottom of the first scoring three runs. Spiders Andrew Bullock (Western Carolina) received two double hits. Adam Frank (FDU), Byron Murray (Lynn University), TJ Reeves (University of Alabama), and Santino Miozzi (University of Florida) all had one RBI each from Wisconsin. The winning pitcher was Woodchucks Beau Nichols (Lincoln Memorial University) who pitched a solid five innings with one run and five strike outs. Lenny Gwizdala (Northwood University) was the saving pitcher of the game for Wisconsin. The losing pitcher was Fond du Lac’s Kyle Hall (Indiana Wesleyan). 

St. Cloud Rox 7, Duluth Huskies 8

The Duluth Huskies pulled through and took the win over the St. Cloud Rox with a close score 8-7. The Rox started off strong scoring six runs in the first two inning but it wasn’t enough to outshine the Huskies six run fifth inning. St. Cloud’s Freddy Achecar (Georgetown University) had two double and five RBI during tonights game. Duluth’s Alex Tappen (Virginia) receieved three RBI. Alex Rao (Notre Dame) was the winning pitcher of the game pitching for three innings who had no runs and four hits for the Huskies. Keaton Carattini (Michigan) swooped in for the saving pitch while Rox Hance Smith (California-Berkeley) was the losing pitcher. 

Eau Claire Express 11, Mankato MoonDogs 3

The Eau Claire Express dominated the Mankato MoonDogs with an impressive final score 11-3. In the top of the third inning the Express scored three runs to capture the lead over the MoonDogs. Mankato’s Josh Elvir (Angelo State) hit one home run along with three RBI. Cole Cabrera (Cal Poly) and Vincent Martinez (Stanford) received two RBI each for the Eau Claire Express. Matt Verdun (Lewis) was the winning pitcher from the Express who gave up three runs, five hits, and seven strike outs during his seven inning of work. The losing pitcher was Brett Newberg (Austin Peay State). 

Kenosha Kingfish, Kalamazoo Growlers

Tonight’s game in Kalamazoo between the Growlers and the Kingfish has been suspended in the bottom of the 4th inning. The game will be continued and finished to nine innings on July 11, in Kalamazoo, starting at 5:05. The second game that night will take place thirty minutes after the conclusion of the first game and it will be seven innings.

Traverse City Pit Spitters 7, Battle Creek Bombers 1

The Traverse City Pit Spitters defeated the Battle Creek Bombers with the Spitters taking the win in the top of the second inning scoring three runs. The final score was a strong 7-1. Pit Spitters Jake Arnold (University of North Georgia) hit one double and one RBI. The winning pitcher was Traverse Cities Garett Simmons (Ball State) who had no runs and one pitch during his one inning of work. The losing pitcher was Bombers Jack Merrifield (LSU-Eunice). 

Waterloo Bucks 4, Thunder Bay Border Cats 0

The Waterloo Bucks shut out the Thunder Bay Border Cats during tonights game with a final score 4-0. The Bucks took control over the Border Cats in the first inning and the top of the ninth scoring three runs. Waterloo’s Blake Berry (San Jose State) hit one double and one RBI. The winning pitcher was Daniel Colwell (UCLA) who pitched a solid seven innings giving up no runs, three hits, and six strike outs. Brett Lockwood (Kansas State) was the saving pitcher of the game for the Bucks pitching the last inning of the game. The losing pitcher was Thunder Bay’s Peyton Burks (Arkansas at Pine Bluff) with one run, two hits, and three strike outs during his six inning period.
