The Wisconsin Woodchucks and Madison Mallards rallied in a close battle starting off the night. The Mallards pulled through and stole the win from the Woodchucks 6-5. The Mankato MoonDogs defeated the Bismarck Larks with an ending game score of 9-5. A great performance was from Mankato’s Josh Elvir (Angelo State) hit two home runs and four RBI. The La Crosse Loggers beat the Thunder Bay Border Cats in a twelve inning nail-bitting battle. The final score was a close 9-8. 

Wisconsin Woodchucks 5, Madison Mallards 6

The Madison Mallards pulled through with the win against the Wisconsin Woodchucks. The final score was a close 6-5. The Mallards scored one run for the win in the bottom of the eighth inning. Austin Blazevic (Southeastern Missouri) hit one home run along with three RBI for Madison. Woodchucks Kenny Rodriguez (Seminole State College FL)  received two RBI. The winning pitcher was John Sakowski (Creighton University) who pitched two innings giving up no runs, no hits, and three strike outs. The losing pitcher was Wisconsin’s Nick Vanderhoef (Barry University). 

Kokomo Jackrabbits, Kalamazoo Growlers 

The first game of tonight’s doubleheader in Kalamazoo has been suspended in the 2nd inning. Because this game was originally scheduled for seven innings it will be continued and finished to seven innings as part of a doubleheader starting at 5:05 on August 8 in Kalamazoo.

The second game that night will start 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game and it will also be seven innings. Tonight’s second game is postponed and will be made up as part of a doubleheader on August 9 starting at 5:05 in Kalamazoo. Both games will be seven innings.

Waterloo Bucks 4, Rochester Honkers 2

The Waterloo Bucks beat the Rochester Honkers with a final score 4-2. The Honkers took the lead in the bottom of the first scoring two runs but it wasn’t enough when the Bucks pulled through scoring consistent runs throughout the rest of the game. Bucks Trey Leonard (Louisville) and Bennett Hostetler (North Dakota State) scored one home run and one RBI during tonights game. Kyler McMahan (Oregon State University) hit one double and two RBI for the Honkers. The winning pitcher was Jack Parkinson (Rutgers) who pitched six innings with two runs and five hits. Waterloo’s Brett Lockwood (Kansas State) swooped in for the save during the last inning. The losing pitcher was Rochester’s Mitchell Allen (New Mexico State University). 

Thunder Bay Border Cats 8, La Crosse Loggers 9

The La Crosse Loggers rallied with the win against the Thunder Bay Border Cats in a twelve inning battle. The final score was a close 9-8. The score was even until the bottom of the twelfth inning with La Crosse scoring one run to capture the win. Ryan Holgate (Arizona) and Hunter Watson (Texas AM) hit one double and one RBI for the Loggers. Thunder Bay’s Conor Allard (University of Nevada-Reno) received one double and one RBI during the game. The winning pitcher was Steve Bowley (Shepherd) and the losing pitcher was Border Cats Jordan Jackson (University of Nevada-Reno). 

Rockford Rivets 3, Green Bay Booyah 7

The Green Bay Booyah demolished the Rockford Rivets with ending game score 7-3. The Booyah had a total of seven runs and eleven hits. Brady West (North Greenville) hit one home run and three RBI for Green Bay. Another great performance was by Booyah Joe Mason (Mount Olive) who received one double and two RBI. The winning pitcher was Chris Jefferson (New Mexico State) who pitched five innings giving up three runs and four strike outs. The losing pitcher was Rivets Jarret Olson (Michigan State). 

Mankato MoonDogs 9, Bismarck Larks 5

The Mankato MoonDogs defeated the Bismarck Larks with a solid 9-5 final score. The MoonDogs scored four runs in the top of the sixth to capture the lead over the Larks. Bismarck’s Brody Tanksley (Indiana University-Southeast) received a home run and three RBI. Mankato’s Cuba Bess (Grand Canyon) and Jake Moberg (UCLA) hit one home run. While, an impressive two home runs where scored by Josh Elvir (Angelo State) along with four RBI. The winning pitcher was Jack Schneider (Grand Canyon) with three runs and four strike outs during his seven innings of work. The losing pitcher was Larks Corey Treyes (Coppin State).  

Eau Claire Express 9, Duluth Huskies 1

The Eau Claire Express dominated the Duluth Huskies ending the game with a solid score 9-1. The Express hit five runs in the top of the eight inning to capture the win over the Huskies. Eau Claire’s Brandon Dieter (Stanford) who received two doubles and three RBI. The Huskies Nic Kent (Virginia) hit one double and one RBI during the game. The winning pitcher was Nick Alvarado (Illinois-Springfield) who pitched six innings giving up one runs, five hits, and five strike outs for the Express. The losing pitcher was Huskies Mason Bryant (Texas). 

Kenosha Kingfish 7, Lakeshore Chinooks 4

The Kenosha Kingfish defeated the Lakeshore Chinooks 7-4 with a strong sixth inning scoring three runs for the win. The Kingfish has a total of seven runs and eight hits throughout the battle. Nate Thomas (Saint Josephs University) hit one home run and two RBI for Kenosha. Chinooks Griffin Doersching (Northern Kentucky) had one RBI. The winning pitcher was Keith Kutzler (Wisconsin-Whitewater) who pitched five innings giving up four runs and three strike outs for the Kingfish. Colton Gordon (University of Central Florida) swooped in for the save during two innings with no runs and three hits. Lakeshore’s Jake Carlsen (Northwestern Ohio) was the losing pitcher of the game. 

Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 2, Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 4

The Fond du Lack Dock Spiders won over the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters with a final score 4-2. The Spiders took the win in the bottom of the eighth inning scoring two runs for the lead. Zeb Adreon (Iowa) hit two doubles and two RBI for Fond du Lac. The winning pitcher was John Snyder (Western Carolina) who pitched one inning giving one run and two hits. Spiders Maxwell Cioffi (Mississippi) came in for the save in the last inning of the game. The losing pitcher was Rafters Jimmy Borzone (Dixie State). 

Battle Creek Bombers 0, Traverse City Pit Spitters 6

The Battle Creek Bombers were shut out by the Traverse City Pit Spitters 6-0 during tonights game. The Bombers had six runs and four hits total throughout the game. Pit Spitters Hudson Byorick (Wofford) and Ryan Hampe (University of Illinois Chicago) had two RBI each. The winning pitcher was Cade Heil (University of North Georgia) who pitched a solid six innings with no runs, five hits, and three strike outs. The losing pitcher was Battle Creek’s Walter Talcott (Earlham College). 

St. Cloud Rox 2, Willmar Stingers 7

The Willmar Stingers crushed the St. Cloud Rox with a final score 7-2. The Stingers pulled through in the bottom of the seventh inning scoring four runs to dominate and defeat the Rox. Gus Steiger (South Dakota State) hit one home run and two RBI for St. Cloud. Willmar’s Branden Boissiere (Arizona) and Chase Stanke (Minnesota) received two RBI each. The winning pitcher of the game was Stingers John Bezdicek (Southwest Minnesota State) who pitched seven innings with two runs, three hits, and seven strike outs. The losing pitcher was St. Cloud’s Ben Dotzler (Creighton) giving up one run, two hits, and two strike outs during his five innings of work.
