The Duluth Huskies crushed the Thunder Bay Border Cats tonight with a strong final score 11-4. The Huskies had an impressive second inning scoring four runs to capture the lead over the Border Cats. The Lakeshore Chinooks dominated the Madison Mallards with an ending game score of 12-7. The Chinooks came together during the top of the seventh and eight innings scoring eight runs to capture the win over the Mallards. 

Waterloo Bucks 1, Mankato MoonDogs 11 (Game #1) 

The Mankato MoonDogs defeated the Waterloo Bucks with a final score 11-1 during game #1 of the doubleheader.. The MoonDogs had a solid third inning scoring five runs to capture the win over the Bucks. Mankato’s Tyler Casagrande (Arizona) hit one triple along with three RBI. Another great performance was by Jake Moberg (UCLA) with one double and two RBI. The winning pitcher was Fabian Muniz (Angelo State) who pitched three innings giving up no runs, one hit, and three strike outs. The losing pitcher was Waterloo’s Drew Zimmerman (BYU). 

Waterloo Bucks 4, Mankato MoonDogs 18 (Game #2) 

The Mankato MoonDogs dominated the Waterloo Bucks with a strong final score 18-4 during game #2. The MoonDogs had a solid second inning scoring seven runs to take over the Bucks. Josh Elvir (Angelo State) hit two home runs and four RBI for Mankato. Waterloo’s Kyler Arenado (UC-Davis) had two RBI. The winning pitcher was Nick Schmidt (Missouri State) with four runs and five strike outs during his five innings at work. The losing pitcher was Bucks Peyton Fuller (Oregon). 

Thunder Bay Border Cats 4, Duluth Huskies 11

The Duluth Huskies demolished the Thunder Bay Border Cats with a final score 11-4. The Huskies had a total of eleven runs and fifteen hits throughout the game. Alex Tappen (Virginia) and Danny Zimmerman (University of Michigan) both hit one home run along with two RBI for Duluth. Thunder Bay’s Conor Allard (University of Nevada-Reno) who had one double and one RBI. The winning pitcher was Ricky Reynoso (University of the Pacific) with three runs and three strike outs during his five innings of work for the Huskies. The losing pitcher was Border Cats Jordan Jackson (University of Nevada-Reno). 

Traverse City Pit Spitters 9, Wisconsin Woodchucks 4

The Traverse City Pit Spitters won against the Wisconsin Woodchucks with a final score 9-4. The Pit Spitters came out during the first inning strong scoring three runs to begin their lead over the Woodchucks. Michael Slaten (Benedictine College) hit one home run along with one double and three RBI for Traverse City. Wisconsin’s Byron Murray (Lynn University) had one home run and two RBI during tonights game. Garett Simmons (Ball State) was the winning pitcher of the game with no runs and one hit during his two innings at the mound. The losing pitcher was Wisconsin’s Jared Pettitte (University of Houston).

Green Bay Booyah 7, Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 11

The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders beat the Green Bay Booyah with the Spiders closing tonights game with a solid seventh inning scoring five runs. The final score was 11-7. Green Bay’s Ali LaPread (Georgia Gwinnett) hit four RBI along with one double. Fond du Lac’s Aaron Anderson (Flagler) had one double and two RBI. The winning pitcher was River Carbone (Arizona Christian University) who pitched two innings giving up no runs, no hits, and four strike outs. The losing pitcher was Booyah Garrett Martin (Marian). 

Lakeshore Chinooks 12, Madison Mallards 7

The Lakeshore Chinooks dominated the Madison Mallards with an ending game score of 12-7. The Chinooks had a total of twelve runs and eleven hits throughout tonights game. Troy Black (Faulkner) hit one home run and two RBI for the Chinooks. Madison’s Justice Bigbie (Western Carolina) had one home run and three RBI for the night. Bailey Vuylsteke (Miami-Ohio) was the winning pitcher of the night after giving up two runs and three hits during his three innings of work. The losing pitcher was Mallards Quinn Gudaitis (Illinois Wesleyan University).  

Rockford Rivets 8, Battle Creek Bombers 13

The Battle Creek Bombers crushed the Rockford Rivets with an final score 13-8. The Bombers had a solid fifth inning scoring five runs to take the lead over the Rivets. Andrew Wilhite (Minnesota) hit two doubles and two RBI for Rockford. Bombers Jorge Gutierrez (Lamar) and Caleb Balgaard (Iowa Western) had two RBI. The winning pitcher was Pablo Arevalo (Barry) and the losing pitcher was Rivets Adrian Santiago (Webster). 

Rochester Honkers 2, Willmar Stingers 4

The Willmar Stingers won against the Rochester Honkers with an ending score of 4-2. The Stingers pushed in the bottom of the eighth inning scoring the winning two runs to defeat the Honkers. Willmar’s Riley Johnson (Augustana University) hit one double along with three RBI. Andy Armstrong (Oregon State University) who had one double and one RBI for the Honkers. The winning pitcher was Trevor Divinski (Minnesota State- Mankato) who pitched a strong seven innings giving up one run and while striking out seven. Aldo Fernandez (New Mexico State) swooped in for the save for the Stingers and Rochesters losing pitcher was David Lemasters (Lake Erie College). 

Eau Claire Express 10, La Crosse Loggers 8

The Eau Claire Express beat the La Crosse Loggers with an ending game score 10-8. The Express had a total of ten runs and ten hits throughout tonights game. Cody Jefferis (San Diego) hit one home run along with two RBI for the Loggers. Eau Claire’s Mason Gavre (Paradise Valley CC) had one double and three RBI. The winning pitcher of the game was Colt Mink (Flagler) who gave up two runs and eight strike outs during his six innings of work. Express Received Finck (Illinois-Springfield) who came in for the saving pitch and the losing pitcher was Matt Kennedy (St. Josephs). 

Kenosha Kingfish 3, Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 2

The Kenosh Kingfish came out on top over the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters in a close five inning battle. The final score was 3-2. The Rafters rallied scoring two runs during the fifth inning to take the win. Kingfish Mitchell Buban (Wisconsin-Milwaukee) and Drew Dyer (Chicago State University) both hit one home run each and Buban had two RBI. The winning pitcher was Kenosha’s Caleb Larson (University of Illinois) who pitched five innings with two runs, four hits, and striking out four. The losing pitcher was Rafters Jack Sinclair (UCF). 

Kalamazoo Growlers 2, Kokomo Jackrabbits 3

The Kokomo Jackrabbits rallied for the win over the Kalamazoo Growlers during a close battle tonight. The final score was a nailbitting 3-2. The Jackrabbits came out of the gates swinging scoring two runs to take the lead over the Growlers. Ben Livorsi (Minnesota St-Mankato) hit two RBI for Kokomo. For Kalamazoo, Zack Gelof (University of Virginia) had one triple during tonights game. The winning pitcher was Parker Sisovsky (Kalamazoo College) with two runs, five hits, and three strike outs during his six innings at the mound. Jackrabbits Joey Haass (Delaware) had the saving pitch in the last inning while David Toth (Hillsdale College) was the losing pitcher. 

Bismarck Larks 10, St. Cloud Rox 9

The Bismarck Larks defeated the St. Cloud Rox with an ending game score 10-9. The Larks had a total of ten runs and thirteen hits through out tonights close battle. Bismarck’s Alex Peterson (Missouri) hit two triples along with two RBI. Freddy Achecar (Georgetown University) and Brady Harlan (University of Oklahoma) had one double and two RBI for the Rox. The winning pitcher was Trevor McGee (Northampton CC) and Dominic Arias (Chicago State) came in for the saving pitch for the Larks. The losing pitcher was St. Cloud’s Riley Ahern (St. Cloud State University).
