The Kenosha Kingfish dominated the Battle Creek Bombers this afternoon starting the Northwoods League off strong! The final score was 9-2. Kingfish Mike Jarvis had a solid performance hitting two doubles and three RBI during the game. The Traverse City Pit Spitters defeated the Kokomo Jackrabbits in both games of their double header series. The Pit Spitters demolished the Jackrabbits during game #2 with an impressive 10-0 final score. The St. Cloud Rox beat the Waterloo Bucks with an ending game score of 16-6. The Rox had a strong top of the first inning scoring ten runs to begin the game and start their lead over the Bucks. 

Kalamazoo Growlers 4, Rockford Rivets 3

The Kalamazoo Growlers rallied over the Rockford Rivets during the top of the ninth inning to score the wining run. The final score was a close 4-3. Rockford’s Jonny Butler (North Carolina State) hit one home run along with one RBI. Mike Rodriguez (Texas AM University) contributed one double and one RBI for the Growlers. The winning pitcher was Pete Joseph (Northwood University) who gave up no runs, two hits, and while striking out two during his three innings. The losing pitcher was Rivets Adrian Santiago (Webster). 

Kenosha Kingfish 9, Battle Creek Bombers 2

The Kenosha Kingfish dominated the Battle Creek Bombers with a solid ending game score of 9-2. The Kingfish had a total of nine runs and nine hits throughout the game. Kenosha’s Mike Jarvis (San Diego State University) hit two doubles and three RBI. Troy Hickey (Madison College) was the winning pitcher of the game pitching six innings with two runs and five strike outs. The saving pitcher was Nate Seprosky (University of Rhode Island) defending the mound with no runs and one hit during his three inning period. The losing pitcher was Battle Creek’s Blaine Parker (Panola College). 

Wisconsin Woodchucks 3, Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 7

The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders defeated the Wisconsin Woodchucks this afternoon with a final score of 7-3. The Spiders pulled it together during the bottom of the fifth inning scoring four runs to capture the lead from the Woodchucks. Cameron Swanger (University of Missouri) hit one double along with one RBI for Wisconsin. Fond du Lac’s Aaron Anderson (Flagler) and Cam McMillan (Vanderbilt) received two RBI during the game. The winning pitcher was Andrew Neu (Madison) who pitched a solid five innings with three runs and four strike outs. Spiders Isaac Dirker (UW-Milwaukee) pitched the saving pitch during his four innings of work. The losing pitcher was Woodchucks Jose Varela (FIU). 

Kokomo Jackrabbits 2, Traverse City Pit Spitters 7 (Game #1) 

The Traverse City Pit Spitters took the win during game #1 over the Kokomo Jackrabbits. The Pit Spitters had an impressive fifth inning scoring five runs to steal the lead from the Jackrabbits to continue for the win. Traverse Cities Andrew Morrow (Michigan State) had one double and three RBI. The winning pitcher was Conrad Voss (Dallas) who pitched six innings giving up two runs and four hits. Joe Pace (University of Michigan) swooped in for the saving pitch during the last inning while the Kokomo’s losing pitcher was Jake Andriole (Purdue). 

Kokomo Jackrabbits 0, Traverse City Pit Spitters 10 (Game #2) 

The Traverse City Pit Spitters beat the Kokomo Jackrabbits during game #2 of their double header series tonight. The final score was a strong 10-0. Adam Proctor (Michigan State) had one home run and two RBI from Traverse City. Another solid performance was by his teammate, Drake Titus (Army) with one double and two RBI. The winning pitcher was Pat Hohlfeld (Jefferson University) who gave up no runs, five hits, and four strike outs during his seven innings at the mound. The losing pitcher was Kokomo’s K.C. Bryan (SE Oklahoma St.).  

St. Cloud Rox 16, Waterloo Bucks 6

The St. Cloud Rox rallied for the win over the Waterloo Bucks with an dominate first inning scoring ten runs. The final score was 16-6. The Rox had a total of sixteen runs and twenty-one hits throughout the game. St. Cloud’s Hance Smith (California-Berkeley) scored one home run along with five RBI. Another solid performance was by his teammates Jordan Barth (Augustana University) with two double hits and three RBI. The winning pitcher was Alex Carrillo (Faulkner University) who pitched five innings with five runs and five hits. The Bucks losing pitcher was Jack Dolak (San Diego). 

Madison Mallards 5, Lakeshore Chinooks 11

The Lakeshore Chinooks defeated the Madison Mallards with a final score of 11-5. The Chinooks had an impressive second inning scoring four runs to continue their win over the Mallards. Lakeshore’s Ronnie Sweeny III (Minnesota), Griffin Doersching (Northern Kentucky), and Justin Olson (Kentucky) had one home run each. Doersching hit four RBI during tonights game. The winning pitcher was Jarrett Blunt (Iowa Central) who pitched two innings giving up no runs and one hit. Chinooks Tony Grabowske (Stephen F. Austin) came in for the save while the losing pitcher was Madison’s Eliot Turnquist (Madison College). 

La Crosse Loggers 3, Rochester Honkers 1

The La Crosse Loggers won against the Rochester Honkers during a close battle with an ending game score of 3-1. The Loggers came out of the gates swinging scoring two runs in the first inning to capture the lead immediately over the Honkers. Cody Jefferis (San Diego) hit one home run along with one double for La Crosse. Rochester’s Nathan Webb (California-Riverside) had a strong performance hitting one home run and one RBI. Mark Sellers (Merced CC) was the winning pitcher of the game for the Loggers giving up no runs and striking out six during five innings of work. The saving pitcher was Jared Freilich (Penn State) and the losing pitcher was Rochester’s Ryan Dorney (Saint Martins University).  

Mankato MoonDogs 7, Willmar Stingers 2

The Mankato MoonDogs won over the Willmar Stingers with an ending game score of 7-2. The MoonDogs had a consistent fourth and fifth inning scoring three runs each to bridge the lead over the Stingers. Mankato’s Adan Fernandez (Nova Southeastern University) and Tanner Craig (Evansville) hit one home run each. Branden Boissiere (Arizona) had one double hit and one RBI for Willmar. The winning pitcher was Shane Barringer (Bellarmine) who pitched six innings with one run and five strike outs during tonights game. The losing pitcher was Stingers Garret Rukes (Alabama) gave up seven runs and six strike outs during his five innings of work. 

Eau Claire Express 8, Thunder Bay Border Cats 11

The Eau Claire Express lost against the Thunder Bay Border Cats with an ending game score of 11-8. The Border Cats pulled it together for the win during the bottom of the eighth innings scoring three runs. Alexander Hernandez (Nova Southeastern (FL)) hit one home run along with four RBI from Thunder Bay. Eau Claire’s Matt Bottcher (Illinois-Chicago) and Brandon Dieter (Stanford) each had one double and one RBI. The Cats winning pitcher was Joe Moran (Anderson University (IN)) with five hits and two strike outs during a six inning period at the mound. Tyler Hansen (Texas Southern University) pitched the last two innings for Thunder Bay for the saving pitch. The losing pitcher was Express’ Craig Colen (Cal Poly). 

Duluth Huskies 5, Bismarck Larks 11

The Bismarck Larks crushed the Duluth Huskies with a final score of 11-5. The Larks had a total of eleven runs and twelve hits throughout the game. Matt Hogan (Vanderbilt) hit one double and one RBI for the Huskies. The Larks Wyatt Ulrich (St. Johns (MN)) had one triple along with two RBI during tonights game. The winning pitcher was Zach Harlan (South Alabama) who pitched a solid five innings with five runs and three strike outs. Larks Fernando Diaz Jr. (Alabama AM) was the saving pitcher of the game while the losing pitcher was Duluth’s Cole Milam (Southern Ill. Edsville).  

Green Bay Booyah 3, Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 7

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters beat the Green Bay Booyah during tonights game. The ending game score was 7-3. The Rafters rallied during the last two innings scoring five runs to capture the win over the Booyah. Nick Kreutzer (Arkansas Pine Bluff) had one home run along with one RBI for Green Bay. Wisconsin’s Matt Oldham (Elon) hit one home run and two RBI. Rafters winning pitcher was Cal Djuraskovic (Davenport) who pitched two innings giving up no runs, no hits, and one strike out. The losing pitcher was Booyah Connor Spear (Whitewater).
