The Bismarck Larks improved to 3-0 on the 2020 season on Thursday night as they beat the Bismarck Bull Moose 13-4. The Larks wasted no time, scoring two runs in the top of the first and three in the second. Their offense really came alive in the seventh, where they scored seven runs on seven hits.

Chase Adkison (Boise State) was one of the offensive leaders for the Larks, going 2-5 at the plate, scoring one run and driving in five runs. Wyatt Urlich (University of Richmond) went 2-4 with three runs scored in the game, giving him sole posession of the all-time Northwoods League runs scored record. Griffin Schneider (Wagner College) went 3-5 with two RBI while Noah Fisher (Northern Kentucky) went 3-4 with two runs scored. Joe Todd (Stephen F. Austin) picked up the win on the mound, throwing one and one-third of an inning, allowing one run on no hits and recording three strikeouts. Sam Hanson (St. John’s) and Christian Seelhorst (Slippery Rock) both recorded four of the 17 strikeouts the Larks pitching staff recorded.

The Bull Moose only recorded two hits on the night, both of which came from Lorenzo Debrecht (Toledo), who was 2-5 with one double and one RBI. Jacob Widener (Palomar College) had a solid pitching performance, throwing three relief innings, allowing one run on three hits and recording three strikeouts. Nate Boyle (Virginia Commonwealth) threw one scoreless inning, allowing one hit and walking one batter.
