Despite his team coming up on the short end of a 6-5 decision, Mandan’s Ben Schoneman (Colorado School of Mines) was awarded Pitcher of the Night after a masterful performance for the Flickertails. Schoneman threw five innings on Friday night, allowing just two hits and no runs while recording eight strikeouts.
Schoneman faced 19 batters, and recorded 12 first-pitch strikes. He ended up with a no decision despite leaving with a 3-0 lead, as the Flickertails were unable to hang on for the win.
