Jordan Wicks (Kansas State) had a season-high 10 strikeouts on Thursday to help the Rockford Rivets to a 2-1 win over the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders in game two of their doubleheader.
Wicks got the start for the Rivets and threw five scoreless innings, scattering three hits and recording his 10 strikeouts. He is now 2-0 on the season, with one earned run allowed and 16 strikeouts. His ERA is sitting at 0.90 while his WHIP (walks and hits per inning pitched) is 1.10.
