Chad Patrick (Purdue Northwest) threw eight strong innings Friday night to help the Pit Spitters hold off the Great Lakes Resorters.
Patrick allowed one earned run on two hits with a season-high 11 strikeouts. This was his first game with 10+ strikeouts this season. In 28 innings pitched, he has allowed just three earned runs, collecting a 0.96 ERA, with 37 strikeouts.
