Pat Hohlfeld (Jefferson) had a strong outing on Tuesday for the Traverse City Pit Spitters, and was rewarded with his fifth win of the season.

Hohlfeld threw six innings for the Pit Spitters, allowing no runs on one hit while striking out a season-high seven batters. In 26.1 innings pitched, he has allowed just two earned runs, giving him an ERA of 0.68, with 26 strikeouts. His performance on Tuesday is tied for his longest outing of the season, and set a new season-high for strikeouts in a game.
