The Mandan Flickertails and Bismarck Bull Moose traded punches on Tuesday, with the Flickertails coming out on top of what ended up being a game loaded with offense. In other action, the Bombers and Growlers split a doubleheader, with the Growlers scoring eight runs in the first game.

The Growlers wasted no time on Tuesday night, scoring five runs in the top of the first to burst out to an early lead. They took advantage of that and an outstanding pitching performance from Nate Wargolet (Grand Valley State)PITCHER OF THE NIGHT, who threw four shutout innings, allowing four hits and recording five strikeouts to improve to 5-1 on the season. Ben Mets (Davenport University) was the offensive leader for Kalamazoo, going 2-3 at the plate, with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored.

The Bombers scored three runs in the bottom of the third to salvage a doubleheader split against the Growlers Tuesday night. Evan Lorey (Spring Arbor University) went 1-1 for the Bombers, with a double and two RBI. Pitching was the stroy of the game for Battle Creek, led by Josh Avink (Kalamazoo Valley CC), who threw four innings, allowing a run on a hit with two strikeouts to pick up the win, his second of the season. Dylan Watson (Davenport University) threw one scoreless inning to earn his first save of the season.

Mandan Flickertails 18 Bismarck Bull Moose 13
The Flickertails and Bull Moose lit up the scoreboard on Tuesday, with the Flickertails coming out on top with an 18-13 win. Hunter Cooper (Hope International) was 3-5 on the night for the Flickertails, with a double and five runs scored. Bailey Reed (Illinois College) was 3-6, with a double and two RBI along with three runs scored. Robert Mattei (Hope International) had a pair of hits for Mandan, with one RBI. Kai Takahashi-Ho (UC-Riverside) was 2-4 for the Bull Moose, with three RBI. Enrique Morales (Irvine Valley College) and Andrew Schaan (Valley City State) both drove in a pair of runs for Bismarck.
