The Traverse City Pit Spitters mounted a improbable comeback on Tuesday, scoring eight runs in the bottom of the seventh to steal a win from the Great Lakes Resorters. The Bismarck Larks also had a late rally, but it wasn’t as dramatic, though it allowed them to end the regular season on a five-game win streak, setting up a three-game showdown with the Mandan Flickertails starting Wednesday night.

The Pit Spitters scored eight runs in the bottom of the seventh to escape with a win on Tuesday. Jake Ryan (Grand Rapids CC) provided the game-winning fireworks, hitting an infield single to score a pair of runs, capping off the Pit Spitters rally. Carson Eby (Davenport University) was 2-2 for Traverse City, with a pair of runs scored. Cooper Marshall (Western Michigan) and Ryan both had two hits, with Ryan picking up the game-winning RBI. Champ Davison (Nicholls State) had a great night for the Resorters, going 1-3 at the plate, with a home run and three RBI. Danny Bullard (Madonna University) was the only one to pick up multiple hits, going 2-4 with a double and an RBI.

The Larks scored two runs in the top of the ninth to send the game to extra innings, where they posted three runs en route to a come-from-behind win in the final game of the regular season. Brayden Koenig (Bismarck State College) was 2-5 for the Larks, with a home run and five runs batted in. Dak Finley (Garden City CC) went 2-6 with two RBI while Cal James (University of Mary) and Cole Hage (Columbia University) both picked up multiple hits on the game. Dane Nakatsuka (Irvine Valley College) led the Bull Moose offense, going 3-6 with two RBI.
