The Battle Creek Bombers scored six runs in the top of the ninth inning to secure their 10-6 victory against the Kokomo Jackrabbits. Ryan Ellis (St. Mary’s) collected three hits, scored a run, and brought in a run. Ed Johnson (Tennessee Tech University) walked once, recorded three hits, two RBI, and scored a run for Kokomo.
Traverse City Pit Spitters 11 Kalamazoo Growlers 7
Trey Truitt III (North Carolina State University) walked, singled twice, and doubled in the Traverse City Pit Spitters 11-7 win over the Kalamazoo Growlers. Truitt brought in two runs, scored twice, and stole a base. The Growlers scored five runs in the second inning to take the early lead, but the Pit Spitters put up four in the sixth, three in the seventh, and two in the eighth to secure their victory.
Rockford Rivets 6 Kenosha Kingfish 5
Wade Elliott (Grayson College) scored the winning run on Gregory Ziegler’s (Missouri State University) sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Rockford Rivets the 6-5 walk-off win against the Kenosha Kingfish. Brody Harding (University of Illinois) collected three hits and scored a run. The Kingfish scored their five runs on six hits.
Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 4 Madison Mallards 0
Justin Beyer (Wagner College) threw seven shutout innings as the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters blanked the Madison Mallards 4-0. Beyer only allowed four hits while striking out four batters. Zach Storbakken (Madison College) collected two hits for the Mallards.
La Crosse Loggers 4 Bismarck Larks 0
Cole Colleran (University of San Diego) threw five shutout innings in his season debut for the La Crosse Loggers in their 4-0 victory against the Bismarck Larks. He struck out six batters and only allowed three batters to reach base. The Loggers staff combined for 14 strikeouts.
Eau Claire Express 5 Waterloo Bucks 4 — 10 innings
Max Blessinger (Dallas Baptist University) scored the winning run for the Eau Claire Express in the bottom of the tenth inning. Blessinger came home on a sacrifice fly to give the Express the 5-4 win over the Waterloo Bucks. Three Bucks players each recorded two hits.
Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 9 Wisconsin Woodchucks 3
Jay Harry (Pennsylvania State University) collected three hits and three RBI while also scoring a run in the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders’ 9-3 win against the Wisconsin Woodchucks. Seth Sweet-Chick (University of Kansas) also had three hits. Tyler MacGregor (Columbia University) tripled and scored a run for the Woodchucks.
Lakeshore Chinooks 8 Green Bay Booyah 5 — 13 innings
The Lakeshore Chinooks scored three runs in the top of the thirteenth innings to take the lead and defeat the Green Bay Booyah 8-5. Brennan Bales (Houston Baptist University) singled, doubled twice, and collected four RBI. Kaden Hollow (Dixie State University) singled, homered, and brought in four runs.
Willmar Stingers 8 Mankato MoonDogs 4
Tyler Small (Dallas Baptist University) collected three hits and four RBI in the Willmar Stingers 8-4 victory against the Mankato MoonDogs. Carter Howell (Augustana University) walked, singled, doubled, and brought in two runs. Adrian Torres (Grand Canyon University) singled, doubled, and hit a home run for the MoonDogs.
St. Cloud Rox 11 Duluth Huskies 5
Cody Kelly (University of Minnesota) drew four walks, singled, collected three RBI, and scored a run as the St. Cloud Rox defeated the Duluth Huskies 11-5. Otto Kemp (Point Loma Nazarene University) recorded three hits, a walk, and scored three of the Rox’s runs. Mike Boeve (University of Nebraska-Omaha) walked, singled twice, and brought in two runs for Duluth.
