Wednesday’s games consisted of three double headers with the Kalamazoo Growlers and the Kenosha Kingfish winning both of their games. The Kenosha Kingfish earned their 10th win of the season and have a three game winning streak. The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters and the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders rescheduled their game tonight to July 10th due to weather.

Battle Creek Battle Jacks 9, Rockford Rivets 6

The Battle Creek Battle Jacks defeated the Rockford Rivets 9-6 for their first game of the night. Brett Sanchez had the win on the mound throwing 6.2 innings with five strikeouts. Patrick Mills (Indiana University Kokomo), Dillion Kark (Michigan State University) and Isaiah Gibbs (William Woods University) all had two hits with a double by Gibbs to score a run. The team combined for nine hits and had zero errors on the field.

Kalamazoo Growlers 6, Kokomo Jackrabbits 2

For their first game of the night, The Kalamazoo Growlers took the Kokomo Jackrabbits 6-2. Blayne Robinson (Ohio State University) led his team with 2 singles and two RBI. Brandon Moore (University of Montevallo) and Daniel Pruitt (Feather River College) both had a single each with two RBI. Mason Meeks (Drury University) threw a total of 8.2 innings allowing only two runs to score with seven strikeouts.

Kenosha Kingfish 4, Traverse City Pit Spitters 0

The Kenosha Kingfish defeated the Traverse City Pit Spitters 4-0. Clark Candiotti (Wichita State University) threw a scoreless six innings with seven strikeouts and gave up only four hits. Jacob Tobias (Arizona State University) led his team crushing a grand slam in the bottom of the seventh scoring the only runs of the game. Anthony Mangano (University of Iowa) also had two hits to get his team going in the second inning.

Kalamazoo Growlers 15, Kokomo Jackrabbits 5

The Kalamazoo Growlers swept the Kokomo Jackrabbits 15-5. Griffin O’Ferrall (University of Virginia) earned Northwoods League Player of the Night going 4 for 6 at the plate with two singles, a double and triple driving in five runs. Colton Coca (Central Michigan University) hit the other double of the night scoring with three RBI. Edgardo Villegas (University of Miami) had two singles with three walks and two RBI.

Green Bay Rockers 1, Wausau Woodchucks 0

The Green Bay Rockers defeated the Wausau Woodchucks 1-0 to split the series. Will Semb (University of Minnesota) had the win on the mound throwing seven innings with four strikeouts and did not allow a run to score. Collier Cranford (Louisiana State University) had two hits with a single and double to score the only run of the game.

La Crosse Loggers 6, Waterloo Bucks 0

To win the series, the La Crosse Loggers took down the Waterloo Bucks 6-0. Brayden Sanders (Northwest Mississippi Community College) started the game throwing five scoreless innings with eight strikeouts and giving up five hits. The Loggers scored their first two runs in the first inning with RBI from Luke Leto (Louisiana State University) and Sam Siegel (Butler Community College).

Kenosha Kingfish 7, Traverse City Pit Spitters 6

For their second win of the night, the Kenosha Kingfish rallied to defeat the Traverse City Pit Spitter. Taylor Darden (University of the Incarnate Word) led his team with two hits with a double in the fifth innings to score a run. Michael Dallas (University of Kentucky) hit the only home run of the night to give the Kingfish their first run in the bottom of the third.

Mankato MoonDogs 7, Duluth Huskies 4

To split the series, the Mankato MoonDogs took the win against the Duluth Huskies 7-4. Down by a run going into the eighth inning the MoonDogs rallied to score four runs. Nick Altermatt (Minnesota State University, Mankato) drove in the first runs with a single to left field followed by another RBI single by Sean Ross (Indiana State University). Ross had three hits and two RBI on the night.

Lakeshore Chinooks 1, Madison Mallards 0

The Lakeshore Chinooks sweep the Madison Mallards in a 1-0 victory. Joe Glassey (University of Illinois) started the game throwing three innings with five strikeouts and did not allow a run to score. Garrett Martin (Oklahoma State University) led his team with two hits and drove in the only run of the game in the fourth inning. The pitching staff combined for eight strikeouts giving up only four hits.

Eau Claire Express 5, Bismarck Larks 1

The Eau Claire Express defeat the Bismarck Larks 5-1 to win the series. Peter Brookshaw (North Dakota State University) started the game off with a single to center field to score later in the first inning. Brookshaw had three hits with one RBI. Benjamin Rosengard (Rice University) had two singles driving in another run in the fourth. Luke Eldred earned Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night, throwing six innings with eight strikeouts and allowing only one run to score.

Willmar Stingers 10, Rochester Honkers 8

The Willmar Stingers swept the Rochester Honkers 10-8 for their two game series. The Stingers drove in five runs in the third inning with an RBI double by Joey Walls (University of Nevada, Las Vegas), an RBI triple by Will Hodo (University of Alabama) and an RBI single by Brett Bateman (University of Minnesota). Tucker Novotny (University of Minnesota) had the win on the mound throwing five innings with nine strikeouts.

Rockford Rivets 14, Battle Creek Battle Jacks 4

The Rockford Rivets rallied to take the win of game two against the Battle Creek Battle Jacks. The Rivets combined for ten hits on the night including an explosive seven run inning. Cam McDonald (University of Illinois) started the second inning with a three run home run followed by an RBI single by Johannes Haakenson(Concordia University of Wisconsin).
