The Duluth Huskies wrap up Monday’s games with a ticket punched to the playoffs. The Huskies had a solid performance today generating 16 hits with no errors on the field for their 19th win of the season. The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters made history tonight as they won their 29th game which is the most games won in the first half of the season. 

Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 10, Green Bay Rockers 2

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters defeated the Green Bay Rockers 10-2 in a seven inning game to sweep the series. Garrett Broussard (Utah Valley University) drove in the first runs of the game with a single to left field. Broussard had two hits with two RBI on the night. Ben Ross (Notre Dame College) hit the only home run for his team in the top of the sixth inning. Ross led the offense with three hits, two RBI, a stolen base and scored twice as he reached first. Jake Dahle (Utah Tech) had the win throwing three innings with five strikeouts.  

Rockford Rivets 5, Traverse City Pit Spitters 1

The Rockford Rivets bounced back to split the series against the Traverse City Pit Spitters 5-1. Dustin Allen (University of San Diego) had the first hit of the game with a double to center field. Allen went three for five with two stolen bases and scored twice. Nick Demarco (Notre Dame) and Jeffrey Ince (Louisiana Tech University) both had two hits with a double driving in three runs combined. Ty Rybarczyk (University of Illinois) started the game throwing 5.2 innings with five strikeouts giving up two hits. Noah Ruen (Tyler Junior College) came into the game as the relief pitcher throwing 3.1 scoreless innings with six strikeouts giving up zero hits. 

Willmar Stingers 6, Bismarck Larks 2

The Willmar Stingers win their third game in a row as they took down the Bismarck Larks 6-2. The Stingers struck first, scoring their first two runs with a home run by Will Hodo (University of Alabama). Drey Dirksen (Augustana University) had the second home run of the game in the top of the 5th inning driving in three runs. Dirksen led the team with three hits and three RBI. Jack Zigan (Minnesota State University, Mankato) had the win on the mound throwing five innings with seven strikeouts. Logan Samuels (University of Montevallo) closed the game throwing four innings and eight strikeouts. 

Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 10, Madison Mallards 4

The Fond du lac Dock Spiders have won their second series in a row against the Madison Mallards 10-4. Parker Noland (Vanderbilt University) hit a single to center field to score Nick Mitchell (Western Illinois University) for the first run of the game. Noland had three hits with two RBI and a stolen base. Mitchell had three hits with a double, triple and three RBI scoring each time he reached base. Kyte McDonald (Wichita State University) also had three hits with a double, home run, three RBI and two stolen bases. 

Eau Claire Express 9, St.Cloud Rox 8

The Eau Claire Express earned their 19th win of the season as they swept the St.Cloud Rox 9-8. The Express scored seven runs in the third inning with a grand slam by Sam Kuchinski (University of Montevallo) and an RBI single by Reed Latimer (University of Montevallo). Latimer had two hits scoring once as he reached base. Trevor Haskins (Stanford University) went four for five with four singles and two RBI. Charlie Szykowny (University of Wisconsin – Stout) had the win on the mound throwing 3.2 innings with five strikeouts allowing only one run to score. 

Battle Creek Battle Jacks 7, Kokomo Jackrabbits 3

The Battle Creek Battle Jacks defeated the Kokomo Jackrabbits 7-3 to split the series. Bobby Nichols (Central Methodist University) led the Battle Jacks with three hits, a triple, one RBI and two stolen bases. Aaron Dolney (Eastern Michigan University) reached base four times with a hit and three walks scoring twice. Fisher Pyatt (San Diego State University) had two hits with a double and one RBI. Adam Berghorst (Michigan State University) started the game throwing seven innings with four strikeouts giving up two hits. 

Wausau Woodchucks 7, Kalamazoo Growlers 2

To split the series, the Wausau Woodchucks took the win against the Kalamazoo Growlers 7-2. The Woodchucks scored their first four runs in the third inning with RBI singles by Mark Shallengberger (University of Evansville) and Brock Watkins (Brigham Young University). Shallenberger had two hits with four RBI. Hunter Dorraugh (San Jose State University) led his team with three hits and a double, scoring twice as he reached base. Andrew Armstrong (Florida State University) had the win on the mound throwing the first five innings with six strikeouts allowing zero runs to score. 

Rochester Honkers 6, La Crosse Loggers 4

The Rochester Honkers bounced back to split the series against the La Crosse Loggers 6-4. Austin Davis (West Virginia University) had the first hit of the game with a single and reached home with two stolen bases. Davis had three hits, scoring twice. Kevin Dowdell (West Virginia University) drove in the next two runs in the third inning with a home run over the right field fence. Dowdell had three RBI on the night. Jakob Guardado (Pasadena City College) received the win throwing five innings with ten strikeouts giving up only two hits. 

Lakeshore Chinooks 5, Kenosha Kingfish 1

The Lakeshore Chinooks two game two of the series defeating the Kenosha Kingfish 5-1. Garrett Martin (Oklahoma State University) and Caleb Bartolero (Troy University) both had two hits with a double and an RBI each. Tim Baird (Ohio State University) had the win on the mound throwing 1.2 innings with two strikeouts. Kanan Butler (Lenoir-Rhyne University) came into the game in the fourth inning throwing 3.1 innings with four strikeouts giving up no hits. 

Duluth Huskies 8, Waterloo Bucks 3

The Duluth Huskies defeated the Waterloo Bucks 8-3 to punch their ticket to the playoffs. Kristian Campbell (Georgia Tech) led the Huskies going four for five with two RBI. Colin Burgess (Cincinnati) contributed to the offense with two singles, a home run and an RBI scoring twice as he reached base. Devin Hurdle (University Nebraska Omaha) also had a home run with a single and three RBI. The Huskies generated a combined total of 16 hits and zero errors on the field. Isaac Rohde (Clarke University)  received the win throwing the first five innings with five strikeouts.
