The Willmar Stingers continued their success as they took down the MoonDogs 21-14 for their 21st win of the second half of the season. Will Safford led the team with two doubles, one home run and five RBI to earn player of the night. The Wisconsin Rapids Rapids won their ninth game in a row to lead the league. The Eau Claire Express currently led the Great Plains East with 17 wins and four victories in a row. 

Battle Creek Battle Jacks 8, Kokomo Jackrabbits 1

The Battle Creek Battle Jacks took the first game of the series against the Kokomo Jackrabbits 8-1. The Battle Jacks scored six runs in the second inning with two back to back doubles by Joey Grabanski (Concordia University Nebraska) and Dillon Kark. Grabanski reached base twice with a hit and a walk, scoring each time. Kark had two RBI with a walk. Isaiah Gibbs had two hits with a double. Charlie Rhee (San Diego State University) had two hits with an RBI. Garrett Martin earned the win on the mound throwing the first four innings with five strikeouts and Hank Weiss (Washington University in St. Louis) closed the game throwing five innings with eight strikeouts.

Battle Creek Battle Jacks 10, Kokomo Jackrabbits 1

The Battle Creek Battle Jacks take game two of the day against the Kokomo Jackrabbits 10-1. Patrick Mills (Utah Valley University) led the team with three hits including two doubles and four RBI. Billy Hancock (Mount Marty College) and Jimmy Wressel (Concordia University Ann Arbor) both had two hits with a double each and three RBI by Wressel. Travis Cowan (Doane College) started the game throwing the first six innings with six strikeouts allowing only one run to score. Ben Harris (Indiana University Kokomo) closed the game throwing the last inning with two strikeouts giving up no hits. The Battle Jacks had 13 hits to earn the win.

Traverse City Pit Spitters 4, Rockford Rivets 3

The Traverse City Pit Spitters walked off the game to earn the win against the Rockford Rivets 4-3. Colin Summerhill (Northern Illinois University) had the first hit and RBI for his team with a double to left field. Summerhill had two hits with two RBI. With a tied score going into the ninth inning, Trey Truitt III (North Carolina State University) doubled to reach base. Alec Atkinson (Yale University) followed his hit with a single to drive in the final run of the game. Mitch White (University of Cincinnati) closed the game throwing two innings with three strikeouts giving up no hits to earn the win on the mound.

Wausau Woodchucks 8, Lakeshore Chinooks 5

The Wausau Woodchucks rallied back to take the win against the Lakeshore Chinooks 8-5. The Woodchucks scored four runs in the eighth inning to take the lead. Tyler Cox (Eckerd College) reached base three times with two hits, a walk, two RBI and a stolen base. Jc Ng (Pomona-Pitzer) also had two hits with a walk scoring twice as he reached base. Mike Sticker (Chattanooga State Community College) held the Chinooks throwing the last three innings giving up only one hit to earn the win on the mound. The Woodchucks generated nine hits to win the first game of the series.

Green Bay Rockers 7, Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 3

For their 14th win, the Green Bay Rockers defeated the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 7-3. Griffin Stevens (Tiffin University) started the game off with a home run over center field in the bottom of the first inning scoring two runs. Stevens led the team with two hits and four RBI. Tristin Garcia (Western Kentucky) and Clayton Slack (Marshalltown Community College) contributed to the offense with two hits each and two RBI by Slack. Tommy Leonzi (Hesston College) was the starting pitcher, throwing five innings with five strikeouts giving up only two hits. The Rockers had ten hits with zero errors on the field.

Kalamazoo Growlers 9, Kenosha Kingfish 0

The Kalamazoo Growlers defeated the Kenosha Kingfish 9-0 to take the first game of the series. Tanner Knapp (Ball State University) had a great night throwing a scoreless six innings with five strikeouts earning the win on the mound. Banks Tolley (University of Mississippi) led the offense with three hits and one RBI. Anthony Stephan (University of Virginia) had two hits including a triple and three RBI. Vince Bianchina (Northwestern University) was the lead off hitter reaching base three times with a single, double and a stolen base scoring each time. Myles Beale (Northwood University) hit two singles driving in two runs.

Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 12, Madison Mallards 6

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters won their 22nd game of the second half of the season as they took down the Madison Mallards 12-6. The Rafters scored six runs in the fourth inning with an RBI double by Jacob Igawa (University of Hawaii). Igawa led the team with two hits and three RBI. Cael Chatham (High Point University) had a double and a home run with two RBI. Mckinley Erves (Winthrop University) reached base three times with a hit, two walks driving up two runs. Brandon Scott (Hillsdale College) started the game throwing the first three innings with four strikeouts giving up only one hit.

Rochester Honkers 9, Duluth Huskies 4

The Rochester Honkers took the first game of the series against the Duluth Huskies 9-4. The Honkers scored four runs in the sixth inning and five in the seventh to take the lead. Brendan O’sullivan (San Joaquin Delta College) led the team with two hits including a double and three RBI. Micheal Brown (University of Washington) and Menelik Israel (Duke University) each had a double scoring each time to contribute to the offense. Frank Craska (Lafayette College) threw the sixth inning with two strikeouts to earn the win. The honkers generated nine hits to earn their 12th win.

Eau Claire Express 8, Bismarck Larks 7

The Eau Claire Express rallied back to defeat the Bismarck Larks 8-7. Charlie Saum (Stanford University) drove in two runs in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game. Clay Conn (University of Illinois at Chicago) walked off the game with a sac fly to the outfield. Peter Brookshaw (North Dakota State University) led the team with two hits, a double and one RBI. Charlie Szykowny (University of Wisconsin – Stout) also had two hits with one RBI scoring as he reached base. Will Rizzo (Texas A&M University) started the game throwing three innings with six strikeouts.

La Crosse Loggers 14, Waterloo Bucks 10

The La Crosse Loggers defeated the Waterloo Bucks 14-10 winning the first game of the series. The Loggers scored five runs in the second inning with a grand slam by Xavier Casserilla. Casserilla (Wichita State University) had four hits with a double, four RBI and two walks. Luke Leto (Louisiana State University) and Blaise Priester (Meridian Community College) both had two hits each, scoring twice. Jaden Bruno (Stanford University) closed the game throwing the last inning with two strikeouts giving up no hits. The Loggers had 11 hits with 9 walks to earn the win. 

Willmar Stingers 21, Mankato MoonDogs 14

The Willmar Stingers continue their success to take down the Mankato MoonDogs 21-14. Will Safford (Louisiana Tech University) earned Northwoods League Player of the Night going four for four with two doubles, a home run, five RBI and two walks. Scott Anderson (Point Loma Nazarene University) contributed to the offense with two hits, a double and five RBI. Jake Entrekin (Point Loma Nazarene University) and Carson Hake (North Dakota State University) each had a home run each to put the Stingers ahead. Micheal Chevalier (Northern State University) earned the win on the mound throwing 2.1 innings with four strikeouts. Tucker Novotny (University of Minnesota) closed the game throwing 4.2 innings with 11 strikeouts.
