The Duluth Huskies earned their third win to advance to the Northwoods League championship game and will either play the Growlers or Rafters. The Wisconsin Rafters bounced back tonight to defeat the Woodchucks and continue to stay alive in the playoff games. 

Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 9, Wausau Woodchucks 1

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters rallied back to take the series from the Wausau Woodchucks 9-1. The Rafters rallied back to score seven runs in the fifth inning with two home runs by Aidan Brewer (Hillsdale College) and Jacob Igawa (University of Hawaii). Brewer and Igawa both had one hit with three RBI. Garrett Broussard (Utah Valley University) led the team going three for four at the plate scoring twice as he reached base. Chris Conniff (Wagner College) reached base twice with a double and walk scoring each time he reached base. Cooper Robinson (University of California, Irvine) led the Rafters throwing seven innings on the mound with five strikeouts giving up only three hits. Donovan Brandl (University of Wisconsin – Whitewater) closed the game throwing the last two innings with one strikeout. 

Duluth Huskies 5, Willmar Stingers 3

The Duluth Huskies stayed alive as they took down the Willmar Stingers 5-3. Devin Hurdle (University Nebraska Omaha) led his team with three hits including a home run and two RBI scoring twice as he reached base. Eduardo Rosario (University Nebraska Omaha) and Cam Fredrickson (University Nebraska Omaha) both contributed to the offense with two hits and one RBI each. Alex Potter (University Nebraska Omaha) was the starting pitcher for the Huskies throwing 5.2 innings with six strikeouts to earn the win on the mound. Tyler Moniz-Witten (Skyline College) came into the game to throw the next 1.1 innings with one strikeouts giving up no hits.
