The Wausau Woodchucks extend their win streak to six after defeating the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders in game one of their series. Their win streak leads the league and they now are 6-1 at the start of the season. A couple of teams faced off in their second two-game series this week – with the Bismarck Larks and Kokomo Jackrabbits taking the first win to start out the new week. Today’s game ended with a thrilling matchup between the Willmar Stingers and Minot Hot Tots.

Rockford 4, Kalamazoo 8

The Kalamazoo Growlers defeat the Rockford Rivets in game one of their two-game series, 8-4. The Growlers now have five wins on their record to start the season.

Cam Conley (Pepperdine) went 2-for-4 with 3 RBI and one run scored, leading the Growlers offense this afternoon. Liam Regan (Kalamazoo) went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run scored. Tyler Johnson (Alma College) gets the win after throwing 5.2 innings with 7 strikeouts and only gave up 3 hits and four runs.

Fond du Lac 1 , Wausau 3

The Wausau Woodchucks extend their win streak to 6 after defeating the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 3-1 this afternoon. The Woodchucks lead the Great Lakes division with their 6-1 record.

Dalton Pearson (Georgia St) continues to stay solid at the plate, going 2-for-5 with a double and two runs scored. Jesse Donohoe (Georgia St) went 2-for-2 with a double and one RBI. Ethan Pecko (Towson) earned the win after throwing 7 innings – giving up 0 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk, and struck out 11. The Woodchucks scored 3 runs on nine hits.

Green Bay 5, Lakeshore 6

The Lakeshore Chinooks held the Green Bay Rockers offense from tying it after shutting them down in 6-5 ballgame. Both teams now have a 4-3 record and the Chinooks continue on their three game win streak.

Nate Mieszkowski (Missouri Southern St) led the Chinooks offense going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one RBI, and one run scored. Daniel Pacella (Illinois St) and Ben Hefel (Winona St) each went 1-for-3 with 2 RBI and one run scored. Blake Kunz (South Dakota St) earns the win for the Chinooks after throwing 6 innings, allowed 4 hits, 0 runs, 2 walks, and six runs to score in his outing.

Waterloo 0, Eau Claire 16

The Eau Claire Express takes game one against the Waterloo Bucks after an explosive offense and strong defense shuts them down 13-0. They tack on their fourth win of the season.

Eau Claire’s offense scored 16 runs on fifteen hits to defeat the Waterloo Bucks 16-0 in a shutout win this afternoon. Rayth Petersen (Illinois – Chicago) hit a grand slam for his first home run of the season, giving them a 8-0 lead in the fourth. Petersen hit for the first cycle in Express history today. He was 4-for-6 with a double, triple, and home run, with 5 RBI and four runs scored. Brigs Richartz (St. Thomas) went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run scored. Cory Ronan (Hawaii) gets the win after throwing 5 innings, 4 hits, 0 runs, o walks, and zero strikeouts.

Bismarck 10 , Duluth 6

The Duluth Huskies and the Bismarck Larks faced off for the third time this season. Bismarck wins their third win against Duluth as they defeated them 10-6 earlier this evening. Their defense had five double plays in four innings and they scored 10 runs on 11 hits.

On his 21st birthday, Jackson Beaman (Missouri) went 1-for-5 with a home run and 1 RBI. Evan Ames (Chipola) had a home run as well and was 2-for-3 on the day with two RBI. Kai Hori (New Orleans) gave Bismarck the early lead after hitting a base hit to center field. Jacob White (Benedictine) had 3 RBI on the evening. Ryan Rumsey (Xavier) gets the win after throwing 3.2 innings with 5 hits, 1 run , 5 balls, and one strikeout.

Madison 8, Wisconsin 5

Madison jumps on Wisconsin early and wins the 8-5 ball game to earn their fourth win on the season. They are now 4-3, tied for second in the Great Lakes West division.

Korbyn Dickerson (Louisville) went 2-for-5 with a home run and 1 RBI and two runs scored. Designated hitter, Jake Holcroft (Portland), went 2-for-3 with two walks and one run scored. Isaiah Jackson (Arizona St) also had a home run with one RBI and one run on the day. Derek Salata (Illinois St) gets the win for Madison after throwing 5 innings with 5 hits, 1 run, 1 walk, and 6 strikeouts. He recorded his second win on the season.

Kenosha 4, Battle Creek 2

The Kenosha Kingfish defeat the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 4-2 to take the first win of the series to start the week. They scored 4 runs on 10 hits and had three errors on defense this evening.

Tucker Zdunic (Reinhardt) went 2-for-5 with a home run, 1 RBI, and one run scored. His second home run of the season. Ross Thompson (St. Ambrose) started the game throwing 6.2 innings with 3 hits, 2 runs, 2 walks, and 1 strikeout. Aidan Mcevoy (Georgia St) and Tucker Shalley came in relief combining for 2.1 innings with 2 hits, 0 runs, 0 walks and one strikeout.

Traverse City 4, Kokomo 5

The Kokomo Jackrabbits gives Traverse City their second loss on the season after rallying back to defeat the Pit Spitters 5-4. They scored 5 runs on eleven hits. Kokomo is now 4-3 to start.

Tyler Cate (Sioux Falls) went 3-for-5 with one RBI and two runs scored. Karson Hesser (Northern St) went 3-for-4 with a double. Noah Christenson (Sioux Falls) led the team in RBI, tacking two across the board this evening. Gabe Helder (Illinois) got the start throwing 6 innings – allowing 6 hits, 4 runs, 1 walk, and 3 strikeouts.

St. Cloud 0, Mankato 6

The Mankato MoonDogs earn the shutout win against the St. Cloud Rox after scoring six runs on seven hits. The Rox lose their three game win streak in a 6-0 shutout. The Moondogs are now 4-3 on the season.

Ty Rumsey (Evansville) went 2-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored. Brendan Hord (Evansville) went 1-for-3 with one RBI and one run scored. Jackson Cooke (Tennessee – Martin) and Nolan Tichy (Massachusetts) each went 1-for-4 with one RBI. Derrick Smith (North Carolina St) started and earned the win after throwing 2 innings – allowing 2 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk, and 1 strikeout on the evening.

La Crosse 4, Rochester 9

The Rochester Honkers earned their fifth win tonight after defeating the La Crosse Loggers 9-4. They scored 9 runs on 10 hits and are now 5-2 to start the season.

Chase Spencer (United States Air Force Academy) went 3-for-4 with 3 RBI and one run scored. Nico Regino (Charleston Southern) went 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Paul Schoenfeld (Colorado Mesa) has two RBI on the evening as well. Daniel Zang (Dakota County Technical College) get the win for the Honkers after throwing 5 innings – allowing only 3 hits, 3 runs, 6 walks, and struck out five batters.

Willmar 11, Minot 8

The Stingers ended up rallying and defeating the Minot Hot Tots in a – ball game. Willmar bounced back from a seven run deficit, and scored seven runs and hit three just in the fifth alone to tie the game. Willmar is now 3-1 on the season.

Scott Anderson (Point Loma Nazarene) and Jake Hjelle (Minnesota – Crookston) roped back to back homers, then Kyle Payne (Northwest Nazarene) hit the third homer of the fifth. Payne went 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored. Jonathan Lane (University of North Carolina) brought home two runs with a triple to make it a 10-8 lead in the seventh. He went 2-for-4 with two RBI. R Wiltse started the game throwing 2 innings three strikeouts. Willmar pitching staff combined for 10 strikeouts this evening.
