The Green Bay Rockers remain in the win column, winning their last six as they just defeated Battle Creek in game one of their series. The Mankato MoonDogs gain momentum going into Sunday after shutting down the Willmar Stingers in a 5-1 ball game, knocking them out of their nine game win streak they had going into week four of the season.

Green Bay 10, Battle Creek 2

The Green Bay Rockers take game one of the series defeating the Battle Jacks 10-2 Saturday evening. The Rockers tallied ten runs on fourteen hits with zero errors made in the field.

Jayson Jones (Arkansas) went 2-for-4 with. home run, two RBI, and one run scored. AJ Anzai (Chapman) and George Wolkow (South Carolina) each went 3-for-5 on the night. Kyle West (West Virginia) had three RBI with one run scored. Christian Fouch (Arkansas) earned the win after throwing 4 innings – allowing only two hits, one run, three walks, and struck out five.

Eau Claire 2, Thunder Bay 4

The Thunder Bay Border Cats defeated the Eau Claire Express in a 4-2 matchup, taking game one of the series this weekend. The Border Cats are 7-8 (.467) on the season.

Logan Johnstone (Gonzaga) went 2-for-4 with one run scored. Patrick Engskov (Oklahoma) went 1-for-3 with a double and two runs. Kannon Carr (Jefferson College) came in relief throwing 2.1 innings – allowing only one hit, zero runs, zero walks, and struck out five.

Kalamazoo 1, Madison 3

The Madison Mallards defeated Kalamazoo 3-1 in game one of the series. The Mallards are 10-9 (.526) on the season.

Jack Tucker went 2-for-4 on the evening. Owen Jackson (Toledo), Canyon Brown (North Carolina A&T), and Jake Holcroft (Portland) each contributed with one RBI for the Mallards. Derek Salata (Illinois St) got the start throwing 3 innings – allowing three hits, zero runs, one walk, and struck out five.

Fond du Lac 2, Wausau 11

The Woodchucks scored eleven runs on eleven hits to shut down the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders Saturday evening. Wausau earned their eleventh win on the season and are now 11-8 (.579).

Drew Stengren (Central Michigan) went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, and one run scored. Dalton Pearson (Georgia St) and Jake Baker (Kansas)each went 1-for-3 with two runs scored. Baker drove in two RBI with a home run. Isaac Crabb (Louisiana Tech) got the start throwing 3 innings – allowing two hits, one run, three walks, and two strikeouts.

Bismarck 1, St. Cloud 2

The St. Cloud Rox take game one of the series after defeating Bismarck 2-1. The Rox scored their go ahead run in the bottom of the eighth to secure the win.

Ben Vujovich (St. Thomas) and Jackson Hauge (Minnesota St – Mankato) led off with a walk in the eighth inning then scored after Ike Mezzenga (Minnesota) and Matt Goetzmann (Nebraska – Omaha) walks as well. Matt Goetzmann had one RBI. Tyler Curtis (Colorado St – Pueblo) came in relief for the Rox throwing 6 innings – allowing just one hit, zero runs, one walk, and struck out eight batters in his outing. He has a 1.77 ERA on the season.

Rockford 9 ,Traverse City 4

The Rockford Rivets defeated Traverse City in game on of their series Saturday evening. The Rivets are now 12-7 (.632) on the season and are second in the Great Lakes East division.

Brandon Duhon (McNeese St) went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run scored. Tony Lindwedel (Notre Dame) went 2-for-3 with a double, one RBI, and one run scored. Aaron Harper  (Northern Illinois) had one RBI and three runs scored. Cale Mcallister (Missouri Southern St) got the start throwing 5 innings – allowing only four hits, zero runs, one walk, and struck out three.

Kenosha 4, Kokomo 12

The Kokomo Jackrabbits take game one of the series against the Kenosha Kingfish after defeating them 12-4 Saturday evening. The Jackrabbits earned their eighth win of the season.

Nolan Christenson (Sioux Falls) went 3-for-4 with two runs scored. Kolbe Aven (Nova Southeastern) went 2-for-4 with a double, one RBI, and one run scored. Karson Hesser (Northern St) went 2-for-4 with a double, home run, two RBI, and one run. Kobe Essien (Quincy University) earned the win throwing 6 innings – allowing five  hits, two runs, zero walks, and struck out seven batters.

Duluth 4, Waterloo 2

The Duluth Huskies defeated Waterloo 4-2 Saturday evening and earned their ninth win on the season. They are now 9-8 (.529) and tied for second in the Great Plains East division.

Calyn Halvorson (Utah Valley) went 2-for-4 with a double. Jack Vanoncini (California St – Fullerton) went 1-for-2 with a walk and two runs scored. Hasani Johnson (Mission College) had two RBI on the evening. DJ Burke (2-1) earned the win after throwing 6 innings – allowing only one hit, one run, two walks, and struck out two.

Lakeshore 3, Wisconsin 7

Wisconsin takes game one of the series against the Lakeshore Chinooks, defeating them 7-3 Saturday evening. The Rapid Rafters are 10-8 (.556) on the season.

Jack Basseer (Pepperdine) went 2-for-4 with one run scored. Jack Gurevitch (San Diego) went 3-for-4 with three home runs, five RBI, and three runs scored – leading the Rapid Rafters offense this evening. Jacob Rosenkranz (Valparaiso) got the start throwing 3 innings – allowing five hits, two runs, zero walks, and struck out two. Logan Schulfer (Ball St) came in relief allowing only one run and struck out four in 3 innings pitched.

Minnesota 4, La Crosse 8

The La Crosse Loggers win their second game in a row after defeating Minnesota in game on of the series 8-4. The Loggers earned their fifth win of the season Saturday evening.

Jordan Donahue (Hawaii) went 3-for-4 with a double, triple, two RBI, and one run scored. Jack Collins (Saddleback College) went 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Seth Cox (Memphis) had two RBI on the evening. Jake Gebb (California – Riverside) got the start on the mound throwing 3 innings and allowed four hits, one run, four walks, and struck out two. Tony Pluta (Arizona) came in relief striking out four, throwing two scoreless innings. The Loggers pitching staff combined for eight hits and ten strikeouts.

Minot 4, Rochester 0

The Minot Hot Tots find their way to the win column after taking game one against the Rochester Honkers on Saturday. Minot earned their fourth win of the season.

Christian Perez (New Mexico St) went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Damone Hale (New Mexico St) went 3-for-5 with a double and one RBI on the night. Ian Halverson (Palomar) was 2-for-4 with one run scored. Paxton Miller (University of Mary) earned the win throwing 5 innings and allowed only two hits, zero runs, three walks, and struck out two batters.

Mankato 5, Willmar 1

The Mankato MoonDogs break the Willmar Stingers nine game win streak after taking game one of the series 5-1. The MoonDogs are third in the Great Plains West with a 10-9 record.

Kip Fougerousse (Evansville) went 2-for-4 with a home run and one RBI. Max Williams (Alabama), Ariel Armas (San Diego), and Dustin Crenshaw (Grand Canyon) each contributed with one RBI for Mankato’s offense this evening. Derrick Smith (North Carolina St) earned the win throwing 5 innings – allowing two hits, one run, zero walks, and struck out one batter. Jack Anker (Fresno St) came in relief throwing 4 innings and striking out four batters in the Stingers lineup.
