The Thunder Bay Border Cats and Willmar Stingers swept their double headers Tuesday evening. The Huskies are leading the league with a four game win streak after their defeat against the La Crosse Loggers. Mankato and Bismarck postponed their double header and will face off twice Wednesday afternoon to conclude their four game series.

Mankato 14, Bismarck 1

The Mankato MoonDogs win their second game against the Bismarck and took game one of their double header Tuesday morning. The MoonDogs win their second game in a row after shutting down Bismarck 14-1.

Max Williams (Alabama) went 3-for-5 with a double, home run, three RBI and three runs scored. Nolan Tichy (Massachusetts) went 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs. Joe Hauser (Minnesota) went 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI. Caleb Strack (Iowa) earned the win this morning after throwing 7 shutout innings – allowing only three hits, zero runs, zero walks, and stuck out ten.

Willmar 12, Minot 2

The Willmar Stingers take game two and split the series against Minot after defeating them 12-2 earlier this afternoon. The Stingers continue to lead the Great Plains West with a 16-4 record.

Kyle Payne (Northwest Nazarene) went 4-for-5 with a double and one RBI. Graysen Tarlow (California St – Northridge) went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI and three runs scored. Sean Rimmer (Hawaii) blasted a home run and boasted four RBI on the night. Nate Zyzda (Northeast Community) earned the win throwing 6 innings – allowed zero runs, one walk, and six strikeouts.

Waterloo 8, Thunder Bay 9

The Thunder Bay Border Cats take game two of the series against Waterloo this afternoon. The Border Cats are now 11-8, tied for second in the Great Plains East division.

Easton Culp (Lamar University) went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Tyler Kehoe (South Alabama) led the team with three RBI with two hits. Evans Hendrick (Texas A&M – Corpus Christi) got the start throwing 2.1 innings – allowed only four hits, four runs, four walks, and struck out two.

Battle Creek 1, Rockford 7

Rockford wins the series 2-0 against Battle Creek after defeating them 7-1 today.  The Rivets held the Battle Jacks to only two runs in two games played. They are now 14-8 on the season.

Carson Roberts (Cumberland) has another great day at the plate recording two hits on the evening. Braden Duhon (McNeese St) went 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored. Brett Sears (Nebraska) earned the win for the Rivets throwing 6 scoreless innings with eight strikeouts.

Fond du Lac 15, Madison 8

Fond du Lac split the series against the Madison Mallards defeating them 15-8. The Dock Spiders tallied twenty hits on the evening during their offensive rally.

Teddy Deters (Xavier) went 4-for-6 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored. Brady Katterhagen (Wisconsin – Platteville) led the team with three RBI this evening. Jack Gorman (Presbyterian) and Jared Heinzen (Wisconsin – Parkside) each had two hits with a home run and two RBI. Mason Hill (Aquinas College) earned the win after throwing 5.1 inning – allowing five hits, three runs, one walk, and struck out three.

Kokomo 1, Kalamazoo 14

Kalamazoo’s offense ignites to defeat the Kokomo Jackrabbits in a shutout 14-1 performance on Tuesday. The Kalamazoo Growlers take the series 2-0 and now have an 11-10 record.

Three batters in the Growlers lineup had a home run with four RBI on the evening. Casen Taggart (Centralia) went 2-for-3 with one RBI and one run scored. Jeter Ybarra (Washington) was led the team with three hits and drove in one RBI. Sam Carlisle (Purdue Northwest) got the start throwing 4 innings – allowing only one hit, zero runs, six walks, and struck out eight.

Waterloo 3, Thunder Bay 6

Thunder Bay won their second game of the double header against Waterloo and is now 3-0 in their four game series. The Border Cats tallied six runs on eleven hits to defeat the Bucks in game two.

Peter Fusek (Western Illinois) went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored. Trey Lewis (South Alabama) went 3-for-4 with a double, one RBI, and one run. Jonah Sutton (Memphis drove in two RBI this evening. Robert Spencer (Texas A&M -Kingsville) got the start throwing 4 innings – allowed seven hits, three runs, zero walks, and struck out two. Peyton Fosher (Nevada) came in relief and earned the win after throwing 4 scoreless with seven strikeouts.

Rochester 2, Eau Claire 5

The Eau Claire Express split their series against Rochester after defeating them 5-2 in game two of the series. The Express tack on their tenth win of the season.

Reed Latimer (Montevallo) led the team with three RBI on the night after blasting a three run homer to give the Express a healthy lead this evening. Ryan Nagelbach (Illinois – Chicago) went 2-for-4 with one run scored. Rayth Petersen (Illinois – Chicago) and DJ Massey (Central Arizona College) each tacked on one RBI on the night. Cory Ronan (Hawaii) got the start throwing 5 innings – allowing two hits, one run, one walk, and struck out six.

Willmar 12, Minot 2

The Willmar Stingers take game two of the double header against Minot after defeating them 12-2. The Stingers see their way back into the win column after earning their second win of the day. They now hold a 16-4 record.

Jake Hjelle (Minnesota – Crookston) went 2-for-3 with three walks and one run. Luke Williams (Alabama) also went 2-for-3 with one RBI and two runs scored. Aidan Byrne (Minnesota St – Mankato) went 3-for-6 with one run. Kyle Payne (Northwest Nazarene) had two RBI on the night while Zach Stroh (Minnesota St – Mankato) tallied three Tuesday evening. Michael Chevalier (Northern St) earned the win throwing 3 innings – allowing only four hits, two runs, two walks, and struck out five.

Duluth 13, La Crosse

Duluth won the series after defeating La Crosse 13-11 in game two Tuesday night. The Huskies scored thirteen runs on thirteen hits and now stand at an 11-8 record. They are second behind Rochester in the Great Plains East division.

Brylan West (Florida International) went 5-for-6 with a double and two RBI, leading the team with hits on the night. Joshua Duarte (Georgetown) went 3-for-6 and led the team with two doubles, three RBI, and three runs scored. Evan Borst (Nebraska) earned the win throwing 3 innings – allowing one hit, one run, five walks, and struck out two batters.

Traverse City 4, Kenosha 5

Kenosha split the series against the Traverse City Pit Spitters in a exhilarating 5-4 ball game Tuesday evening. The Kingfish scored five runs on twelve hits and only allowed one error on the field.

Cole Gober (Eastern Illinois) went 3-for-4 with a double, one RBI, and one run scored. Miguel Useche (New Orleans) went 2-for-3 with one RBI and one run scored. Reagan Burford (Mississippi) went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Ross Thompson (St. Ambrose) got the start throwing 4.1 innings and allowed two runs and struck out four.

Lakeshore 1, Green Bay 5

Green Bay won the series after defeating Lakeshore 5-1 in game two Tuesday evening. The Rockers lead the Great Lakes West division with a 14-8 record.

Jack Holman (UCLA) went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one run scored. Kendal Ewell (Kentucky), Lukas Schramm (Kentucky), Cuyler Zukowski (Creighton), Carlos Hernandez (Anderson), and Jayson Jones (Arkansas) each tallied an RBI on the evening. Brett Sanchez (Belhaven) earned the win throwing 6 innings – allowed four hits, zero runs, zero walks, and eleven strikeouts.

Wisconsin 2, Wausau 3

Wisconsin split the series after defeating the Wausau Woodchucks 3-2 in game two Tuesday evening. Wisconsin earned their eleventh win of the season and now have a 11-10 record.

Logan Hugo (Eastern Michigan) went 2-for-4 on the night, leading his offense in hits. Brendan Bobo (California St – Fullerton) led the team with three RBI on the night with his three-run homer. Josh Howitt (California St – Fullerton) got the start throwing 4 innings – allowed only one hit, one run, one walk, and struck out five batters.
