The Minnesota Mud Puppies see their way into the win column after their defeat against the Rochester Honkers Wednesday evening. The Wausau Woodchucks find themselves leading the Great Lakes West division with an 18-12 record. The first place ranking was previous held by the Green Bay Rockers who had been leading since week one. Traverse City took game one against Battle Creek and is leading the entire Great Lakes division with a 19-11 record.

Minnesota 8, Rochester 6

Minnesota bounces back after a couple losses to defeat Rochester 8-6 in game one of the series on Wednesday evening. The Mud Puppies earned their sixth win of the season.

Chayton Fischer (Minnesota St – Mankato) went 3-for-5 with one run scored. Colten Becker (North Dakota St) went 2-for-4 with two RBI and scored once. Mitch Cummins (Des Moines Area Community College) led the Mud Puppies with three RBI on the night. Fritz Meyer (North Iowa Area Community College) earned the win on the mound throwing 2 innings and allowed zero hits, zero runs, two walks, and struck out two batters.

Eau Claire 3, Thunder Bay 6

The Thunder Bay Border Cats stripped Eau Claire of their win streak after defeating them 6-3 Wednesday evening. The Border Cats lead the Great Plains East division with a 16-11 record.

Travis Chestnut (Texas A&M) went 3-for-5 with one run and Patrick Engskov (Oklahoma) went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI on the night. Logan Johnstone (Washington St) went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Jack Pineau (Creighton) earned the win on the mound throwing 6 innings and allowed three hits, zero runs, two walks, and struck out four.

Battle Creek 2, Traverse City 9

The Traverse City Pit Spitters defeated the Battle Jacks 9-2 Wednesday evening to take game one of the series. The Pit Spitters lead the Great Lakes division with a 19-11 record. Trailing right behind them are the Wausau Woodchucks.

Zachary Johnson (Nebraska) went 3-for-5 with three RBI on the night. Evan Orzech (Saint Xavier University) went 2-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBI. Nico Saldias (Saint Xavier University) earned the win on the mound throwing 5 innings and allowed two hits, one run, three walks, and struck out three.

Kalamazoo 10, Kokomo 2

The Kalamazoo Growlers defeated the Kokomo Jackrabbits 10-2 to take game one of the series this week. The Growlers ranked third in the Great Lakes West division with a 16-13 record. Kalamazoo scored ten runs on eight hits to secure the win this evening.

Jeter Ybarra (Washington) and Joey Winters (Ottawa University – Arizona) led the team tallying three RBI and combined for five runs scored. Casen Taggart (Centralia College) went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run scored. Mason Meeks (Drury) earned the win on the mound throwing 7 innings and allowed seven hits, two runs, two walks, and struck out two.

Waterloo 7, Duluth 13

The Duluth Huskies win game one of their series against Waterloo this week. The Huskies scored thirteen runs on twelve hits and is now at fifteen wins on the season.

Kasen Wells (Texas A&M) 2-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored. Caleb Corbin (Iowa Central Community College) went 3-for-4 with a double, walk, and two runs scored. Calyn Halvorson (Utah Valley) tallied three hits, three RBI after driving a double and home run, and scored three times.  Caleb Gallant (Florida Southwestern St) earned the win throwing 2 innings and allowed three hits, two runs, two walks, and struck out two.

La Crosse 2, St. Cloud 3

The St. Cloud Rox took game one 3-2 against the La Crosse Loggers Wednesday evening. The Rox rank second in the Great Plains West division with an 18-11 record.

Sawyer Smith (St. Cloud St) went 2-for-3 with one RBI on the night. Kyle Jackson (Kent St) led the team with two RBI after driving a two run home run. Garrett Mclaughlin (Weatherford) earned the win throwing 2.1 innings and allowed one hit, zero runs and walks while striking out two.

Mankato 6, Minot 10

The Minot Hot Tots find their groove at the plate after scoring ten runs in nine innings to defeat the Mankato MoonDogs Wednesday evening. The Hot Tots earned their sixth win of the season.

Tristan Moore (New Orleans) went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, and three runs scored. Brannon Mondragon (Southeastern) and Drew Woodcox ((Texas Tech) each tallied three RBI on the night. Gage Yost (Minot St) earned his second win on the mound throwing 6 innings and allowed four runs, zero walks, and four strikeouts.

Green Bay 0, Wausau 14

The Wausau Woodchucks win game one in a blowout game defeating the Green Bay Rockers 14-0. The Wausau Woodchucks lead the Great Lakes West division with an 18-12 record.

Dalton Pearson (Georgia St) went 2-for-5 with four RBI and two runs scored. Brent Widder (Evansville) went 4-for-5 with a double, an RBI, and two runs scored. Colin Brueggeman (Oklahoma St) went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored. Travis Lutz (Bradley) earned his third win on the mound throwing 5 innings – allowed four hits, zero runs, one walk, and struck out two.

Bismarck 7, Willmar 6

The Larks rally in the top of the ninth scoring the go ahead run to put them in the lead and takes game one of the series. Bismarck is now 14-15 on the season.

The Jake Simons (California St – Northridge) went 3-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored. Jack Herring (Rollins) went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI on the night. Benjamin Rosengard (Rice) blasted a two run home run in the top of the ninth to take the lead from the Stingers. Ryan Taylor (Richland College) earned the win throwing 2 innings and allowed zero hits, runs, walks, and struck out two.
