The Willmar Stingers and Lakeshore Chinooks put up twenty runs against their opponents to take game of the series heading into this weekend. St. Cloud earns their twentieth win of the season, just trailing behind the Willmar Stingers who lead the Great Plains division with a 24-7 record. Wisconsin Rapids looks to stay in the win column after tallying their second win in a row, and continues climbing the ranks in the Great Lakes West division.

Kalamazoo 12, Battle Creek 1

The Kalamazoo Growlers win game one against Battle Creek after shutting them down 12-1 Friday evening. The Growlers are second behind Traverse City in the Great Lakes East division with a 18-13 record.

Colin Blanchard (Washington) went 2-for-3 with two walks, three RBI, and scored twice. Gavin Lewis Jr. (Alabama – Birmingham) and Jeter Ybarra (Washington) each went 3-for-5 combining for one RBI and five runs scored. Dakota West (Utah Tech) earned his first in on the mound throwing 2.1 innings – allowed one hit, zero runs, one walk, and four strikeouts.

Bismarck 7, La Crosse 8

The La Crosse Loggers win game one of the series against the Bismarck Larks after defeating them 7-8 Friday evening.

Mic Paul (Louisiana St) went 3-for-4 with one walk and one RBI. Gable Mitchell (Iowa) led the team with three RBI on the night – tallying two hits, one of which was a double. Sam Hart (Indiana Hills Community College) earned his third win after throwing 2 scoreless innings and allowed zero hits, one walk, and struck out one.

Rochester 4, Mankato 2

The Rochester Honkers defeated Mankato 4-2 to take game on of the series. The Honkers rank third in the Great Plains East with a 17-14 record.

Ben North (Creighton) went 2-for-3 with a home run, one RBI, and one run scored. Paul Schoenfield (Colorado Mesa) tallied one RBI and two hits on the night. Daniel Willie (Montreat) earned the win on the mound throwing 7 innings and allowed four hits, one run, three walks, and two strikeouts.

Eau Claire 6, Duluth 5

The Eau Claire Express tallied six run on eight hits in game one against the Duluth Huskies, defeating 6-5 Friday evening.

Dylan O’Connell (St. Thomas) went 2-for-3 with a walk, one RBI, and two runs scored. Camden Ross (Western Kentucky) went 2-for-3 with a double and one run scored. Rayth Petersen (Illinois – Chicago) and Tanner Sagouspe (Cal Poly) tallied two RBI on the night. Kale Hopke (North Dakota St) earned his second win on the mound throwing 3.2 innings and allowed one hit, zero runs, three walks, and struck out two.

Minnesota 11, Waterloo 16

The Waterloo Bucks offense score sixteen runs against the Minnesota Mud Puppies to take game one of the series Friday.

Greg Nichols (Illinois St) and Brandon Fish (Massachusetts – Lowell) each went 2-for-4 combining for four RBI and four runs scored. Cole Hill (Stephen F. Austin St) went 3-for-4 with two walks, two doubles, three RBI, and scored five times. Drake Westcott (Illinois) tallied two hits and three RBI. Dylan Warda (Indiana) earned the win throwing 3.2 innings – allowed four hits, three runs, three walks, and one strikeout.

Kokomo 3, Kenosha 5

The Kenosha Kingfish defeated Kokomo 5-3 Friday evening, taking game one of the series.

Miguel Useche (New Orleans) and Matt Wolfe (Vanderbilt) both knocked home runs and combined for three RBI on the night. Both players tallied two hits. Frank Plesac (Bethel) earned the win throwing 5 innings and allowed 6 hits, zero runs, zero walks, and four strikeouts.

Traverse City 5, Rockford 4

The Traverse City Pit Spitters take game one against Rockford after defeating them 5-4 on Friday. The Pit Spitters hold their lead at first with a 21-11 record in the Great Lakes division.

Colin Summerhill (Northern Illinois) went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. Jack Crighton (Clemson) tallied two hits – both were doubles. Parker Brosius (Georgia Tech) drove in two runs off a single. Hayden Jatczak (Saginaw Valley) earned the win throwing 2.1 innings – allowed one hit, zero runs, one walk, and three strikeouts.

Fond du Lac 1, Wausau 2

The Wausau Woodchucks defeated Fond du Lac in a tight 2-1 matchup Friday evening. The Woodchucks lead the Great Lakes West with a 19-13 record.

Simon Scherry (Evansville) went 1-for-3 with an RBI on the night. Jake Baker (Kansas) went 2-for-3 with a walk and one RBI. Anthony Mcfarland (California – Riverside) went 3-for-4 on the night. Nic Shutte (Western Kentucky) earned the win throwing 1.2 innings – allowed zero hits, zero runs, and two walks.

Wisconsin Rapids 10, Madison 3

The Wisconsin Rapid Rafters defeated Madison 10-3, taking game one of the series heading into the weekend.

Garrett Broussard (Utah Valley) went 3-for-5 with two RBI and one run scored. Brendan Bobo (California St – Fullerton) tallied two hits, one being a home run, with four RBI. Malakai Vetock (Creighton) earned the win on the mound throwing 3 innings and allowed one hit, two runs, three walks, and four strikeouts.

Lakeshore 20, Green Bay 4

The Lakeshore Chinooks drive in twenty runs to shut down the Green Bay Rockers in game one of the series Friday evening. The Chinooks scored twenty on thirteen hits to defeat the Rockers.

Seven batters in Lakeshore’s offense tallied at least one hit on the night. Joseph Spence (Notre Dame) led the team with eight RBI on the night after blasting two grand slams in just five at bats. Blake Kunz (South Dakota St) earned the win on the mound throwing 5 innings and allowed four hits, one run, one walk, and eight strikeouts.

Willmar 21, Thunder Bay 2

The Willmar Stingers shut down the Thunder Bay Border Cats scoring twenty-one runs on sixteen hits Friday evening to secure the win.

Stone Miyao (Hawaii) went 3-for-6 with one walk, five RBI, and one run scored. Graysen Tarlow (California St – Northridge)  went 2-for-4 with a double and four RBI. Luke Williams (Alabama) also went 2-for-4 with three walks, a triple, and three RBI. Parker Stinson (Indiana) tallied three hits with two RBI and scored three times. Mitch Gutknecht (Minnesota St – Mankato) earned the win throwing 6 innings and allowed four hits, one run, one walk, and three strikeouts.

Minot 0, St. Cloud 1

The St. Cloud Rox walk away with a win against the Minot Hot Tots Friday evening. The Rox offense tallied just four hits and zero errors in the field to secure the win.

John Nett (Kansas) led the team with two hits, going 2-for-4 on the night. Kyle Jackson (Kent St) tallied the game only run, driving in one RBI with a single. Kolby Gartner (St. Thomas) earned the win throwing 7 innings and tallied three hits, zero runs, one walk and struck out six batters.
