The Kalamazoo Growlers look to keep their win streak alive after earning their sixth win in a row with their defeat in game one against Kenosha Sunday evening. Wisconsin Rapids just trails behind with a four game win streak heading into this week as they start with a series matchup against Fond du Lac.

 

Willmar 3, Thunder Bay 2

The extra inning battle ends with a Willmar win as they defeated the Thunder Bay Border Cats 3-2 in ten innings.  The Stingers win the series against the Border Cats 2-1.

Kristofer Hokenson (Minnesota) drove in two with a single, leading the team in that category. Drey Dirksen (Augustana) went 3-for-5 at the plate. Sean Rimmer (Hawaii) contributed a RBI with three walks on the night. Alex Clemons (South Dakota St) earns his second win on the mound throwing 4.1 innings and allowed one hit, zero runs, two walks, and struck out six.

Wisconsin Rapids 2, Fond du Lac 0

Wisconsin Rapids took game one against the Fond du Lac Dock Spider Sunday afternoon. The Rafters lead the Great Lakes West with a 20-14 record.

Garrett Broussard (Utah Valley) went 1-for-4 with one RBI. Brendan Bobo (California St. – Fullerton) tallied one RBI after going 2-for-3 on the night with two doubles. Ryan Kysar (San Diego) earned the win throwing 4 innings and allowed two hits, zero runs, zero walks, and struck out two.

Wausau 6, Lakeshore 7

The Lakeshore Chinooks rally back to defeat Wausau 7-6 Sunday evening after trailing behind for most of the game.

Brady Counsell (Minnesota) had a two RBI double on the night. Cody Kelly (Missouri St) went 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI. Evan Jackson (McHenry County College) earned his first win on the mound throwing 2 innings and allowed zero hits, zero runs, one walk, and struck out three.

Kalamazoo 10, Kenosha 4

The Kalamazoo Growlers keep their win streak alive after defeating Kenosha 10-4 in game on of their series Sunday evening.

Gabe Springer (Stanford) and Casen Taggart (Centralia College) went 2-for-4 combining for three RBI and three runs scored. Joey Winters (Ottawa – Arizona) went 1-for-4 with four RBI on the night. Nolan Milliman (Central Washington) earned the win throwing 1.1 innings and allowed one hit, one run, one walk, and struck out two.

Rochester 11, Eau Claire 7

The Rochester Honkers defeated the Eau Claire Express in game one of their series Sunday evening.

Kimo Fukofuka (San Jose St) went 4-for-4 with a double, home run, five RBI, and scored twice. Nico Regino (Charleston Southern) went 2-for-4 with a double, four RBI, and two runs scored. Max Meyer (Frontier College) earned the win throwing 4 innings – allowed three hits, two runs, one walk, and struck out one.

St. Cloud 7, Waterloo 6

The St. Cloud Rox defeated the Waterloo Bucks in a nail biting ten innings matchup Sunday evening. The Rox tallied seven runs on eight hits to secure the win.

Ben Vujovich (St. Thomas) went 3-for-3 with a double and one RBI. Brady Prewitt (Colorado St. – Pueblo) tallied a hit with two RBI on the night. Jackson Hauge (Minnesota St. – Mankato) went 1-for-3 with two RBI and scored once. Tommy Gross (Creighton) earned in fourth win of the season after throwing 1.2 innings and allowed one hit, one run, two walks, and struck out five.

Bismarck 2, Duluth 13

The Duluth Huskies rally to defeat the Bismarck Larks 13-2 Sunday evening. The Huskies are now at a 16-15 record on the season.

Brandon Compton (Arizona St) went 2-for-5 with a double, home run, three RBI, and one run scored. Michael Halquist (Minnesota – Crookston) tallied two hits with a double and two RBI. Seven batters in the Huskies lineup tallied at least one hit. Evan Borst (Nebraska) earned his third win on the mound throwing 7 innings and allowed five hits, two runs, one walk, and four strikeouts.

Rockford 3, Battle Creek 4

The Battle Creek Battle Jacks took game one of the series against Rockford defeating the 4-3 Sunday evening.

Kyle Ratliff (Southern Illinois  – Edwardsville) went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Blake Mcrae (Eastern Michigan) went 3-for-4 with a double, one RBI, and scored twice. Jake Allgeyer (Western Illinois) went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one RBI, and one run scored. Drew Burkholder (Rock Valley College) earned the win throwing 4.2 innings – allowing three hits, zero runs, and five strikeouts.

Green Bay 8, Madison 3

The Green Bay Rockers drove in eight runs off fourteen hits Sunday evening to defeat the Madison Mallards in game one of their series. The Rockers just trail by one win to take first place again in the Great Lakes West division with a 20-15 record.

Carlos Hernandez (Anderson University) went 4-for-5 with a double and one RBI, scoring twice. Jack Holman (UCLA) tallied four RBI at the plate after going 2-for-3 with a home run on the night. Brett Sanchez (Belhaven) earned his fifth win throwing 8.2 innings and allowed only three runs and struck out seven batters.

Kokomo 3, Traverse City 0

The Kokomo Jackrabbits defeated the Traverse City Pit Spitters 3-0 Sunday evening, taking game one of their series heading into the week.

Karson Hesser (Northern St.) tallied a hit with one RBI and scored once. Tyler Cate (Sioux Falls) went 2-for-4 with a walk and one run scored. Stephen Schissler (Nova Southeastern) earned the win throwing 6 innings and allowed four hits, zero runs, and struck out three.

Minot 3, La Crosse 12

The La Crosse Loggers tallied twelve runs on the day to defeat the Minot Hot Tots in game one of their series.

Austin Smith (San Diego) went 1-for-2 with a home run, two runs scored, and five RBI. Leading his offense and earned player of the night Sunday evening. Josh Leerssen (Birmingham- Southern College) earned the win throwing 5 innings and allowed only one hit, one run, and struck out five batters.
