The Rockford Rivets earned their third win in a row last night after sweeping their series against the Kenosha Kingfish. Five teams – Eau Claire, Rockford, Madison, Bismarck, and Waterloo – earned their series sweeps after the conclusion of Wednesday’s games.

Kokomo 6, Kalamazoo 5

The Kokomo Jackrabbits get the series split against the Kalamazoo Growlers after defeating them 6-5 Wednesday evening.

Tyler Cate (Sioux Falls) went 4-for-5 with a double and one run scored. Roman Kuntz (Morehead St) went 2-for-4 with a double, one RBI, and one run scored. Nolan Christianson (Dordt) went 2-for-3 with a walk. Justin Drury (Hope International) earned the win throwing 2 innings and allowed two hits, zero runs, one walk, and one strikeout.

Traverse City 4, Battle Creek 2

The Traverse City Pit Spitters split the series against Battle Creek after dropping game one Tuesday evening. The Pit Spitters earned their first win for the second half of season.

Colin Summerhill (Northern Illinois) went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, and scored twice. Glenn Miller (Eastern Michigan) and Brendan Summerhill (Arizona) each tallied a hit and scored one run. Mitch White (Cincinnati) earned the win throwing 2 innings and allowed two hits, zero runs, one walk, and two strikeouts.

Madison 9, Wisconsin 3

Madison swept Wisconsin Rapids Wednesday evening after defeating them 9-3. The Mallards are 2-0 to start the second half of play.

Cal Fisher (Florida St) went 3-for-4 with two home runs, four RBI, and two runs scored. Davis Hamilton (North Dakota St) went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and one run scored. Owen Jackson (Toledo) went 2-for-3 with one run scored. Nick Argento (North Carolina – Chapel Hill) earned the win throwing 3 innings and allowed three hits, zero runs, one walk, and one strikeout.

Minot 4, Bismarck 8

The Bismarck Larks got the series sweep against the Minot Hot Tots Wednesday evening, defeating them 8-4 in game two.

Jake Herring (Rollins) went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI. Jake Simons (California St – Northridge) also went 2-for-3 with two walks and two runs scored. Brooks Byers (New Orleans) earned the win throwing 6 innings and allowed three runs and four strikeouts.

Green Bay 5, Lakeshore 12

The Lakeshore Chinooks split the series against Green Bay after dropping game one on Tuesday. The Chinooks scored twelve runs on fourteen hits to get the win.

Josh Overbeek (Cisco Junior College) and Avery Owusu-Asiedu (Southern Illinois – Edwardsville) each went 3-for-5 and combined for three RBI and three run scored. Joseph Spence (Notre Dame) went 2-for-4 with two doubles, three RBI, and scored twice. Nolan Kahle (St. Cloud St) earned the win throwing 2 scoreless innings – allowing one hit, one walk, and two strikeouts.

Mankato 1, Waterloo 5

The Waterloo Bucks defeated Mankato 5-1 Wednesday evening getting the series sweep. The Bucks start off the second half of the season with a 2-0 record.

Marcus Heusohn (Lindenwood) went 2-for-3 with two double and three RBI. Brandon Fish (Massachusetts – Lowell) went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Greg Nichols (Illinois St) drove in one with a double Wednesday evening. Korey Bunselmeyer (Illinois) earned the win throwing 6 innings and allowed five hits, one run, zero walks, and zero strikeouts.

Rochester 1, La Crosse 5

The La Crosse Loggers defeated the Rochester Honkers 5-1 in game two, getting the series split Wednesday evening.

Dylan King (UNC – Chapel Hill) led the offense with two hits and two RBI on the night with a home run. Jackson Cobb (Kansas) went 1-for-2 with an RBI and scored twice. Six batters in the Loggers lineup tallied at least one hit. Jake Gebb (California – Riverside) earned the win throwing 8 innings and allowed four hits, one run, one walk, and six strikeouts.

Duluth 9, St. Cloud 5

After falling to St. Cloud in game one, the Huskies responded with nine runs to defeat the Rox 9-5 Wednesday evening, splitting the series 1-1. The Huskies tallied their first win in the second half of season.

Michael Hallquist (Minnesota – Crookston) went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI on the night. Lucas Kelly (Texas A&M) went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run scored. Brandon Compton (Arizona St) drove in a two RBI single and scored once. Alex Potter (Nebraska – Omaha) earned his second win on the mound throwing 5.1 innings and allowed four hits, three runs, and struck out three.

Fond du Lac 8, Wausau 16

The Wausau Woodchucks responded back with a rallying defeat after dropping game one against Fond du Lac on Tuesday. The Woodchucks tallied sixteen runs on seventeen hits to secure the win against the Dock Spiders.

Mark Shallenberger (Evansville) went 3-for-6 with two home runs, five RBI, and scored three times. Colin Brueggemann (Oklahoma St) went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run scored. Jake English (Kansas) and Christian Mitchelle (Central Michigan) went 2-for-4 with doubles and combined for four runs scored and two RBI. Nic Schutte (Western Kentucky) got the win after throwing 5 scoreless innings – allowing only one hit and three strikeouts.

Kenosha 3, Rockford 5

The Rockford Rivets get the series sweep against the Kenosha Kingfish after defeating them 5-3 in game two of their series Wednesday night.

Nick Demarco (Notre Dame) went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, and a run scored. Conner Allen (Southern Arkansas) tallied an RBI double at the plate. Ryan Calvert (Cumberland) earned the win throwing 2 innings and allowed only two hits, zero runs, and two strikeouts.

Thunder Bay 5, Eau Claire 7

The Eau Claire Express swept Thunder Bay Wednesday evening after defeating them in game two 7-5. The Express start the second half of season 2-0 and look to tack on their third win Thursday evening.

Dylan O’Connell (St. Thomas) led his offense going 2-for-3 with three RBI on the night. Nate Witte (Wisconsin – Eau Claire) went 2-for-4 with a walk and scored twice. Freddy Rodriguez (Cal Poly) earned his first win on the mound throwing 1 inning and allowed one hit, one run, one walk, and three strikeouts.
