The Eau Claire Express and La Crosse Loggers are the only two teams left with zero losses on the season so far. The Rivets lost their win streak in game two against Kalamazoo, who defeated them 12-4 on Friday. The Express and Loggers look to carry their momentum into new series of play as Northwoods League heads into the weekend.

Rockford 4, Kalamazoo 12

The Kalamazoo Growlers split the series against Rockford, defeating them with a 14-4 victory. The Growlers are now 2-2 on the season.

Will Furniss (Mississippi) went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI on the night. Henry Godbout (Virginia) drove in a two run homer run while Gabe Springer (Stanford) drove in two with a single. Travis Densmore (Dayton) earned the win throwing 5 scoreless innings – allowed only three hits, zero walks, and struck out six batters.

Kenosha 4, Madison 14

The Madison Mallards split the series against the Kenosha Kingfish after dropping game one Thursday evening. The Mallards scored fourteen runs on nine hits to secure the win.

Cal Fisher (Florida St) blasted a three run homer as his only hit on the night and scored three runs himself. Jackson Tucker (St. John’s) went 1-for-3 with a three run home run as well. Isaiah Jackson (Arizona St) went 2-for-4 with a triple, three RBI, and scored once. Tommy Meyer (Northern Illinois) got the start throwing 4 scoreless innings – allowed only three hits, four walks, and struck out eight batters. Chad McCann (Campbellsville) earned his second win on the mound throwing 3 innings – allowed two hits, zero runs, zero walks, and one strikeout.

Battle Creek 5, Kokomo 3

The Battle Jacks swept the entire series against Kokomo after taking both games in their double header Thursday night. Battle Creek sits with 4-1 record to start the season.

Riley Silva (Nebraska) went 3-for-4 with one run scored. Blake Salamon (Northwood) tallied two doubles with one RBI and two runs scored. Jake Allgeyer (Western Illinois) tallied two hits with two RBI. Jake Kampf (Southern Illinois – Edwardsville) earned the win throwing 4.1 innings and allowed four hits, two walks, zero runs, and two strikeouts.

Traverse City 7, Fond du Lac 2

The Pit Spitters swept their series against the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders Friday evening, defeating them 7-2.

Jack Crighton (Clemson) went 3-for-4 with a double, one RBI, and scored twice. Glenn Miller (Eastern Michigan) and Colin Summerhill (Northern Illinois) eached tallied two hits with two RBI and one run scored. Miller drove in two with a double and a triple on the day. Hayden Brown (Jamestown) earned the win throwing 2 innings and allowed zero hits, zero runs and one walk.

St. Cloud 6, Duluth 4

St. Cloud swept the Duluth Huskies after defeating them 6-4 in game two Friday evening.

Anthony Mata (California – Riverside) went 2-for-3 with three RBI, leading the Rox offense. Kyle Jackson (Kent St) tallied two RBI after knocking a two run homer and scored three times. Piercen McElyea (Tarleton) earned the win throwing 5 innings and allowed four hits, two runs, four walks, and three strikeouts.

Rochester 5, Thunder Bay 2

Rochester takes game two of their three game series on Friday, defeating them 5-2 and leading their series 2-0 so far.

Nico Regino (Charleston Southern) tallied two hits with a double, one RBI, and one run scored. Mattie Thomas (San Francisco) drove in three RBI off his double earlier on in the third inning. Holden Garcia (Cal Poly) earned the win throwing 5.1 innings and allowed two hits, one run, two walks, and six strikeouts. Corbin Barker (UC Riverside)came in relief tallying five strikeouts of his own.

Wisconsin Rapids 3, Lakeshore 7

The Lakeshore Chinooks rally to defeat Wisconsin Rapids 7-3 Friday evening after dropping game one against them Thursday.

Adam Cootway (Wisconsin – Whitewater), Drew Townsend (Missouri St), and Gabe Roessler (Madison) each tallied two hits and combined for two RBI and four runs scored. Avery Owusu-Asiedu (Southern Illinois – Edwardsville) went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Blake Kunz (South Dakota St) earned his third win on the mound after throwing 6 innings and allowed six hits, three runs, one walk, and seven strikeouts.

Waterloo 8, Mankato 6

The Waterloo Bucks manage to win the series 3-1 against the Mankato Moondogs after taking game four 8-6 Friday night.

Cole Hill (Stephen F. Austin St) went 3-for-5 with a double and one run scored. Greg Nichols (Illinois St) tallied two hits with one RBI and a run scored. Elliot Good (Central Connecticut St) drove in three RBI on the night. Ethan Alexander (Western Illinois) earned the win throwing 1.1 innings and allowed one hit, zero runs, and struck out two batters.

Green Bay 5, Wausau 6

The Wausau Woodchucks split the series against the Green Bay Rockers after defeating them in a tight 6-5 matchup Friday evening.

Colin Brueggemann (Oklahoma St) went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI on the night. Christian Mitchelle (Central Michigan) tallied two RBI off a double, his only hit on the day. Alex Wallace (McClennan Community) earned the win throwing 2 innings and allowed only two hits, zero runs, zero walks, and two strikeouts.

La Crosse 14, Bismarck 10

The La Crosse Loggers earned the series sweep against the Bismarck Larks after scoring fourteen runs on twelve hits Friday evening.

Justin DeCriscio (San Diego) tallied a three RBI double at the plate. Aidan Sweatt (Liberty) drove in four RBI after his grand slam, leading the team in that category on the night. Jack Bunnell (San Diego) earned the win throwing 1 inning and allowed one hit, zero runs, and three strikeouts.

Minnesota 4, Minot 9

The Minot Hot Tots earned their first series sweep and are now 2-2 on the season after defeating Minnesota 9-4 Friday evening.

Ryan Recio (Seminole St College of Florida) went 3-for-4 with one run scored. Damone Hale (New Mexico St) went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored. Karson Evans (Louisiana Tech) tallied one hit with two RBI on the night. Trevyn Badger (Minot St) earned the win throwing 6 innings – allowing two hits, zero runs, and struck out seven.

Eau Claire 8, Willmar 7

The Eau Claire Express tallied their fourth win after sweeping their series against the Willmar Stingers Friday evening.

Cole Conn (Illinois – Chicago) went 2-for-4 with a walk, two RBI, and one run scored. Bronson Rivera (Hawaii) tallied two hits – a triple with two RBI and scored twice. Tanner Sagouspe (Cal Poly) earned the win throwing 3 innings – allowing only one hit, one run, two walks, and struck out six batters.
